Describe your project or startup in a few words
It will be an online pharmacy where patients will be able to buy medicine under doctor/health care givers supervision and also, carry on other activities in the platform.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Just like E-businesses, eDoc will be an innovative online pharmacy that provides a seamless platform for patients to purchase medications under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Our service will ensure that medicines are delivered directly to the patient's doorstep or a nearby hospital/pharmacy center, enhancing accessibility and convenience. Additionally, we would like to partner with the government to support using government-issued vouchers, which can only be provided by healthcare centers whenever a patient seeks medication, ensuring affordability for needy patients. eDoc also will serves as a survey platform to gather data on drug efficacy and patient experiences, contributing to medical research. Furthermore, we will also offer educational resources to help individuals better understand their health and the medications they are prescribed.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
eDoc will address several critical issues in the current healthcare system: limited access to essential medications, the high cost of drugs, and the lack of comprehensive patient education. Many patients face difficulty obtaining their prescriptions because of geographical barriers or mobility issues, and the high cost of medications can be prohibitive. Additionally, there is often a lack of clear communication and education regarding the proper use of medications and potential side effects. eDoc will aim to bridge these gaps by providing an accessible, affordable, and educational platform for medication distribution and healthcare information.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
1. Increased Accessibility: Patients will conveniently order medications online and have them delivered, overcoming geographical and mobility barriers. 2. Cost-Effective Solutions: By accepting government-issued vouchers and offering competitive pricing, eDoc will medications more affordable for a broader population. 3. Enhanced Patient Education: Our platform will provide valuable information on drug usage, side effects, and general health tips, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
eDoc will primarily serve patients who require regular medications but face challenges in accessing traditional pharmacy services. This includes elderly individuals, people with chronic illnesses, and those living in remote or underserved areas. Additionally, we will aim to support low-income families who benefit from government-issued vouchers for medication. Healthcare providers also will benefit from our platform as it will facilitate easier prescription management and improve patient adherence to medication regimens.
