Describe your project or startup in a few words

My project is an agribusiness that comprises of rearing goats , rabbits , chicken and also growing various types of vegetables mainly kales , Copenhagen cabbage , spinach and carrots.

With my project I will be able to grow everything organically and also produce eggs , meat and also hides and skin .

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problems I am trying to solve is food insecurity, poverty and unhealthy diets that various individuals are experiencing in the country . Through this project we will be able to tackle the problem of lifestyle diseases, the issue of unemployment through the people that I will employ and also help people from any family background to buy healthy and affordable food.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

Through my project the major benefits are attaining the right percentage of proteins through the consumption of the goat meat , chicken and eggs. Bodybuilders will be able to attain the right creatine percentage in the body organically instead of taking supplements. This agribusiness project will be able to curb a huge percentage of food insecurities around the region and the country at large since it's among the big four agenda that the government needs to tackle and through the affordable prices everyone will be able to put food on the table . Furthermore, the problem of unemployment will be tackled by the employment of 15 to 20 youths for a start then improve on the number as the project grows .

My target beneficiaries are the people affected by the lifestyle diseases e.g diabetes, obesity, hypertension, arthritis and many more , people from the low income earning families majorly but all family backgrounds at large , the bodybuilders and also hospitals .

Queenvine Hoka who has a background in project management and has a vast interaction with the agricultural sector and has a 3 year experience in managing farm projects. Elvis Muhanji is a psychologist and also has an accounting background. He has also more than 7 years of experience in farming since he grew on one and also has been awarded the state commendation by the president on environmental matters.

My project contributes majorly because my major target audience is the low income families on buying affordable foodstuffs and it will also be able to employ 15 to 20 youths for a start inorder to tackle the issue of unemployment in the country.

The Del farm project will be able to use the harvested and treated rain water to facilitate the work in washing the vegetables and cleaning the animal habitats . The dirty water will be recycled and used to water the plants in the farm . As the farm grows we will be able to drill a borehole and practice the piping irrigation as we expand to growing also garlic and coffee.

05.08 Justification

Our products in Del farm are meant to improve the quality and price affordability in the market . That's what will make us outstanding due to uniqueness and producing everything with bespoke mentality.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My main potential competitors are the farmers using the genetic mutilated methods and those who inflate their prices whenever there is an economic imbalance.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes I am , I have promoted a couple of female oriented businesses especially my groceries vendor Maximiller , my tailor Laura and also my best friend Yvonne's Salon business.
