Kuku project, this been an idea have been ringing in my head since 2014 While still in highschool, I always wanted to be that's great farmer to keep kienyeji poultry for commercial purpose and also for consumption. All the years been a dead end ,finance.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Kienyeji poultry keeping is one of the best ideas have ever had, so far I have 50 chickens pure kienyeji I want to grow to be a large scale , my dream is always to grow upto 500 or more birds, my biggest challenge is finance since my background has always been an issue to raise and keep such huge numbers of chicken. For many years people I know have been doing graded chicks which doesn't do well with people around my home area and my town, demand for kienyeji birds is high will supply is low that's why I always want to fix that problem around my region and city, it's been always a dream to be fulfilled , I always encouraged my self no matter how long it will take I must at some point in life have a kienyeji birds farm to create opportunities amongst my peers and my entire community since I will creat job for my fellow youths and cut the idleness around my place of living among the youths, I heard about total startup and I jumped the gun hoping for the best . 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Main problem am trying solve is 1) unemployment among the youths around this area 2) available of kienyeji eggs and meat 3)financial problem to aid my schooling 4) dream come true, would have solved my all time dream for having my own farm for kienyeji chicks 5) supply problem since demand is available

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My main aim is the hotel industry around my town, reasons are one many hotels around my area customers ask for pure kienyeji meat (kuku) but to there surprise all available mean are either broilers which doesn't go well with most people , by having kienyeji most hotels will get more clients while me on the other hand will get more returns. Second , many of the shops around my area sell improved kienyeji eggs or graded eggs of which people need kienyeji pure eggs by having kienyeji poultry I would have cubed the immediate marker around my place and the entire city which I would have solved my schools fees at hand and improve my family background

My champion project (kienyeji kuku farm ) will be maybe one of the situation that brings a solution around me in decades we have been living without electricity and connecting my home with a transformer for electricity connection to give around electricity around the neighborhood thus providing clean energy around my place since people will move to modern ways and be thankful for power . At the same time my farm will be connected to power and will boost my production in quality and in good quantity.

Majority of people around me or companies around this area have graded chicken farm , this having a kienyeji poultry farm will solve the loophole that's available since demand is there for kienyeji birds, and kienyeji eggs and will also use technology since most of things are moving to digital space thus marketing on the digital space will provide me with more clients

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My main competitor is a company close to me called Avipro poultry company , but this company is for grade poultry this doesn't provide what the clients need that's is kienyeji birds that's why I also don't consider it as a competitor company but as a partner

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes, as said earlier my county promotes 2/3 gender rule which makes more female workforce needed and having some female for marketing
