Soulful Afri-culture is a project that incorporates self discovery, empowerment, knowing your culture and embracing it. There is power in knowing who we are as it taps to the energy of our authentic selves and the best versions of ourselves.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

My Soulful Afri-culture project intertwine the journey of self discovery with the rich African heritage.My plan is to incorporate self discovery and empowerment tools with a touch of African graphics and designs. On the journey of self discovery I'm planning to make products which promote self awareness and a positive look at ourselves. My products include but not limited to; - affirmation cards(weekly or monthly) , -affirmation candles - positive notes calenders -branded clothes with positive quotes - gratitude jars -annual reflection books -rebranded clothes with an African touch -African themed story books and poems for kids. My services will include but not limited to; -Creating self awareness and discovery content -self awareness campaigns -Story telling in African themed kids story books -interactive games and cultural interactions

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Soulful Afri-culture came to my mind after seeing how self discovery can change one's life. In my life I have encountered people who have so much potential perish just because they either don't know their potential or because they don't believe in themselves. In other instances I've been in luck to watch people who have lived in the ground rise after discovering who they are and embracing themselves. What my project is trying to solve is making sure that everyone has the chance to experience self discovery and tap to their best version. I've discovered through experience that self discovery doesn't just change you, it also changes how you see things and people around you. In a institution or society whose people know and embrace themselves, there would be so much harmony and improvement. I'm talking about a society where everyone is doing their best and people are looking things with a positive outlook. This is my dream society, authentic people, positive energy, productive people.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

Soulful Afri-culture have many benefits including: -It will help children and youth connect with their cultural roots and take pride in who they are. -Through affirmation cards and tools that promote positive thinking,it will promote instill resilience, self confidence, and emotional well-being leading to wholesome productive beings. -people will be able to embrace their authentic selves and hence live life in their best way possible. -My branded and rebranded African themed products will promote creativity and give people a sense of belonging. -African themed story books will remind kids of their worth and how amazing they are. They will assure them that there are African princes and princesses.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Soulful Afri-culture will cater for all age groups and mostly aiming at children to middle aged adults but as we all know it's never too late to rediscover who you are and to be reconnected to the best version of yourself. With kids, I believe the earlier they know their worth and their potential the better. My project will promote different professionals and businesses including, tailors, designers,clothes sellers, fabric industry and publishers.

My partner and my greatest supporter is my friend who we've gone through the journey of self discovery together.Over the journey we've noticed how not discovering ourselves has led to many setbacks and how discovering ourselves has changed our life's.For that reason we have the goal of assisting others discover themselves earlier and sticking to the best versions of themselves.

With my project being about tapping to the best versions of ourselves, this will make everyone productive in the best way that they can. I have seen so many people under performing or not going for their dreams only because they don't believe in themselves or don't have the courage to do their best afraid that their best will not be enough. With this project people will know that they are enough and do the best that they can in their jobs and lives. This will generally increase productivity and in turn increase income.

Afri-culture is embracing who we are and our culture.In the journey of embracing our culture we will find ourselves embracing our traditional cultural food and diets. Think about all the cultural indigenous food that sometimes exist as weeds and all the kind of foods that we don't take because we don't know that they are food yet it's what our ancestors survived on

My project entails getting to know yourself and embracing yourself. A person who knows themselves takes the best care of themselves physically, emotionally and mentally. They do the best they can to keep themselves healthy and do their best in everything. My products and services will ensure that people know how awesome they are and they can be if they invest in their well being and tap to their highest potential. They will help people give up unhealthy habits and practices because they will know that they are important and will want to stay away from things that are not good for them. They will take care of themselves the same way they take care of something that they love, and that's all about Aweso-me.

My project is a tool that reminds us to improve ourselves in every way and every chance we get. Education and learning is one way of improving ourselves. This is not only about reading books or following the normal education systems but also learning a skill everywhere you go. I also believe that if kids were taught how to embrace themselves and know themselves at a younger age then they would grow into confident and wholesome beings who do their best in everything that they do. My project will ensure that by making kids affirmation cards, and lessons.

05.08 Justification

My project idea comes from personal experience and observation from the people around me and the community. It's uniqueness comes from the fact that I'm not copying anyone but I've come up with the idea in need to solve a problem in the community.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Main competitors would be African fabric designers and I stand out from them because my designs are normal clothes given an African touch by adding African fabric or beads.African rebranded designs makes you both classic and in touch with your culture

Yes, teaching girls and women around me to stand up for themselves.
