01.01 Describe your project in more detail
The Last Mile Delivery Mobile Application will serve as a centralized platform for users to browse and purchase products from various vendors including supermarkets, restaurants, automobile spare part shops, laptop shops, electronic shops, fashion, and design shops. Users will need to create an account and log in to access the services provided by the application. Upon logging in, users will be required to provide details such as their name, email, phone number, and location for delivery purposes.

The main problem solved by a last mile delivery mobile app is the efficient and reliable transportation of goods from a distribution center or store to the final destination, typically a customer's doorstep. This addresses several challenges in the last mile delivery process: 1. Timely Deliveries: Last mile delivery is often the most time-consuming and costly part of the logistics chain. The app helps optimize routes, track deliveries in real-time, and provide accurate estimated times of arrival, ensuring that goods reach customers on time. 2. Customer Convenience: Traditional delivery methods may involve long wait times, uncertain delivery windows, or missed deliveries. The app allows customers to schedule deliveries at their convenience, track the progress of their orders, and receive timely notifications, enhancing their overall experience. 3. Cost Efficiency: Last mile delivery can be expensive due to factors like fuel costs, labor expenses, and inefficient route planning.

Munguti Mwathi is a graduate of Bsc. in computer science from Kabarak University. Munguti is a seasoned programmer who is currently working as a full stack developer and a lead developer at Sigraelfa Solutions. Munguti believes in empowering Africa and believes in Africa's problem can only be solved by Africans and through this he has been able to mentor so many other developers. Rahab Kinayian holds a bachelors degree in Business information Technology. She is a techy working as a front end developer and graphics designer in Sigraelfa Solutions. She is a strong believer of change.

There are different mobile applications which have been offering this services. The challenge we are solving is harmonizing this services to be found in one Mobile application, which will bring flexibility and efficiency

There are different apps in the region which incluide : Glovo, Carefour App, Uber eats. Most of this apps are either eatery apps, of Specific supermarkets apps. This is application we are developing, ill bring together all the products that the consumer will need. This products will be delivered all of the them by the same person which makes it easier for accountability.
