Describe your project or startup in a few words
At 4NGO we aim to revolutionize funding for non profits by helping them increase localization efforts.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
4NGO is Yet to be registered entity at idea stage and we specialize in increasing localisation efforts in Africa and later developing Countries around the World! And One of the main ways we aim to do this is through funding where we group small-medium NGOs with similar goals in a particular cause as well as vision and then hold marketing campaigns for them via modern media then after we have raised we give them in accordance to their reach and impact. We also aim to tap into businesses by being their social consultants at a fee and aligning them with causes that align with their mission or vision
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Universally funding for nonprofits is a tough sell. This is because the demands for funds is high while the supply of cash is lower in Comparison. Because of this donors aim to give out to the biggest organization with the biggest impacts and while this is not wrong but totally logical what is forgotten is that smaller NGOs have impact too which often make a huge difference to the Communities they serve. On some of my numerous trips to Maasai Land(where the people of the Maasai live) I observed that the wells built by small NGOs often saved the villagers a walking distance of almost 8 kilometers. Isn't that impact? Most African and Developing Countries depend on Foreign Aid grants included which brings a lot of competition. After some time these NGOs close down due to being unable to sustain themselves. On the other hand many Citizens and Businesses wish to support this but only if there's credibility and accountability.4NGO aims to be the bridge to this issue.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
1. Solutions are sorted out by crisis affected people which in the long run bolsters unity and awareness of issues faced within Communities making it easier to be transparent. 2. NGOs look to tap in genuinely interested donors and be able to slowly grow with them as they grow their communal impacts. This also reduces the time and energy spent by the Founders in seeking funds and focus more on their organizations impact. 3. Businesses will make an actual communal impact by aligning themselves with causes that actually align with their missions and goals. 4.Reduce the reliance on Foreign Aid which is becoming increasingly difficult due to scarcity due to the current World Economic situation as well as the growing call for Donors to make an impact in their own Countries or community as they become increasingly plagued with many challenges such as homelessness, foreigners from wartorn Countries moving into their areas etc. Its just a very difficult period for the World at the moment
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
1. NGOs- helping them fund easier as well as develop a connection with its funders. 2. Businesses - helping them use their CSR's to the best of their abilities to not just make a difference on paper but on the ground too! 3. General Population- In the recent floods many people stepped up to help the affected ones due to poor government involvement. This proved that people are willing to help one another out however this was a one time case due to disaster being a rare occurrence and could prove useful in our mass campaigns however to achieve the bigger picture they will need to be shown that the process is accountable and worthwhile hence why we aim to have things such as a pre and post campaign story telling media, showing people what a dollar can do(one doesn't have to donate much) and it can be anything from funds to physical items and sight visits.
01.05 When did you start working on your project?
2022-10-01
01.06 How many other partners are associated with your business venture?
0
01.07 Among the other partners, how many are female?
0
01.08 Please describe the profile of each of the other partners (skills, experience, etc.)
While the past year was attempting to foster collaborations with bigger NGOs to test my idea it didn't work out as the reality is many of them aim to work with governments or bigger entities and so this is my bid to secure a partner as I try to build my Company and myself as I apply for accelerator programs that can help me equip myself with knowledge and mentorship for an effective start! I aim to have the first 3 years testing my idea as for us to go mass we will need to be more factual and have a better understanding of what were dealing with. Records and statistics are poor and so we'd have to make our own statistics to guide us through our future growth!

05.08 Justification
According to ICVA's 2023,40% of causes Worldwide are funded. In Africa we have a unique opportunity as our causes are less politicized and get straight to the job. Our idea is already being utilized in the Kenyan Film Industry where some Film Veterans decided that the funding process was very tedious and often bore no fruit and so they decided to was go to the Media Platforms and offer their audience an opportunity to invest in a film and get 10% in return in 6-8 months while offering themselves as an alternative to money market funds. The result was over investments to the point of returning money. And offering them a priority for the next film’s fundraising. Going to show when implemented right this could work While we are not profit oriented, we can offer a return to our stakeholders by incentivising them (discussed more in the strategic plan)
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
1. Mchanga Africa- A platform for fundraising mostly for individuals and their initiatives. There work in Africa has been exponential and undeniable especially during the recent floods however there main aim does not seem to be fundraising for Nonprofit but just a Fundraising platform. Our platform not only helps NGOs get funding but network with one another as well as forge deeper relationships between donors and the organization. 2. Fund4NGOs- this is a global platform that aligns more with what we're after. Their work around the World is widely recognized however they are based in the US and their model is more of the traditional model of depending on traditional fundraising model where as 4NGO we aim to have the people at the fore front of the challenges as well as increasing local involvement as opposed to having "sponsors". We aim to move people to not only do financial contributions but facilitating different ways with what one has ( the African way).
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Not a problem for me to be honest as long as someone does what they are required to it can matter less. People earn what they earn.
