As an academician and a research oriented person with a strong zeal in promoting entrepreneurship, my project is a research focused chemical process, specifically targeting assorted latex or water-based paints production with quality assurance.

1. Business Name: HABAL-ISNA R&D ENTERPRISE (The Home of Chemicals) 2. Motto: Quality Assurance and Service Reliability 3. Nature / Scale of the Business: Partnership-based / Small scale business at start with scale improvement on improved capital, enhanced research for quality and cost effectivity. 4. Business targets: i. Value addition in products and efficiency in operations ii. Manpower skills training and products commercialization iii. Contributing to the growth of entrepreneurship and innovation in chemical process domain iv. Getting wider recognition and ensuring accreditation by government. 5. Products of Target: The business shall be targeting 3 kinds of water-based paints, namely emulsion paints, screeding paint, and satin paint. These kinds of products shall come in different capacities and grades based on quality and economics research. 6. Services: Supply of paint raw materials with Painting and screeding 7. Research Areas: Costs and Formulation Optimizations

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I am strongly focused on solving some main problems as follows: 1. Job opportunities in the joint venture: On executing the business plan, a significant number of youths can be employed to work collaboratively in line with the scope of the business. 2. Capacity improvement in work force through skills training: As a research and development venture, skills training is ensured for the working staffs in enhancing their capacity on the business mandate. This therefore helps in working efficiency and the venture growth. 3. Quality improvement for products at low costs: Numerous researches can be done in view of quality and cost balancing and improvements for better affordability among clients.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

The major benefits of using the products / services to be provided by our project are: 1. Quality assurance: This is because it is research driven in view of different alternatives for formulation, hence quality is ensured while strongly considering costs of production in a win-win scenario. 2. Service reliability: Our group is focused on working with well disciplined and committed staffs in view of the painting and screeding services delivery upon purchase of our products for your home and work place decorations. 3. Feedback questionnaires task for clients: The venture shall be strongly focused on designing questionnaires to be filled by clients based on the sales approach, products and services offered with a view of continuously improving our affairs in the venture.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

HABAL-ISNA enterprise is aimed at serving building contractors i.e. structural engineers and builders in view of structures decoration after buildings are nearby completion. Hence, our products and services bring out the beauty and attractiveness in homes, offices, and work places with a variety of flamboyant colors.

The major partners are grouped into 3. As for the researchers and production engineers group, a minimum of bachelor's degree shall be required in a science and engineering discipline. For the products supplies and cashing with records keeping group, a minimum of high school certificate shall be required. Also, a minimum of high school certificate shall be required for the painting services providers group.

My start-up shall contribute to the goal of ''No Poverty'' due to the hope of employing the necessary partners stated previously i.e. researchers and production engineers, products suppliers with cashing and records keeping, and painting service providers. Additionally, products conveyors and transporters shall be part of the venture. Hence, this makes the venture an avenue for job creation to a significant number of individuals in the region with possibilities of expansion to many branches and therefore, more job opportunities as time progresses. This then ensures earning capacities for people's living at different levels and ultimately a poverty alleviation initiative.

This is simply because, being an engineering firm with skills acquisition linked to entrepreneurship, extensive trainings are ensured with research activities targeting quality and costs. Hence, in view of that, we are also focused on employing interns for trainings and skills acquisition on the different production pathways and quality tests for the latex paints, coupled with certificates presentations to the successful students.

05.08 Justification

Our business venture being a research focused shall ensure uniqueness of products that are economically friendly. This shall be based on existing products from history, with continuous modifications optimally by striking a balance between quality and costs. Furthermore, we are focused on best services based on continuous feedbacks seeking from our different clients for improvements.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

At the local level, my competitors shall be Sanusi Venture - SUNFAT Paint Manufacturing, Nural Ventures, Odibest Chemical Business Concept, and so on. At the national level, other competitors are Comart Nigeria Limited, Fruitful Paints Chemical Company, and so on.
