Describe your project or startup in a few words

My project, the “Atisans Marketpkace” is a website that aspires to link successful artisans, struggling artisans and the various markets in which they are associated with.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

This project is aimed at connecting bridges between artisan workers, their various market establishments and those in need of artisans or handy workers. It will also serve as a regulator or check for cost of hiring, prices of materials and cut marginalization of struggling artisans or business owners. And finally serve as a quick search tool for those in desperate need of artisan workers.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

With this project, I am trying to link different markets to their end users, curb the high cost of store renting for business owners or artisan workers, reduce the marginalization of very skilled artisan workers due to inadequacies of locations, for example, those in the rural areas who can’t afford to work at cities due to relocation issues such as, high cost of traveling and accommodation. Also for the government of my country Nigeria, it can also serve as an addition to adequately register and/or generate tax from Artisan workers through certificates of authenticity for verified users on the website.

1. More and better jobs for artisans 2. Better sales for business owners (wholesalers or retailers) 3. Quicker search result for those in need of handy workers 4. Inclusion irrespective of location or identity through competitive prices 5. Hiring the best through the help of honest user reviews. 6. Time saving.

My project is aimed at serving; 1. The Artisans 2. Manufacturers, sellers of artisan equipments or needs 3. Those in need of artisans (They could be new in town or in need of a “skilled-to-taste” artisan

Reduction in the rate at which buildings are being rented out for stores or warehouse will at the end run discourage building investors which will lead to more open spaces for farming or other agricultural investments. Also the farmers don’t have to shy away from farming due to low patronage. Artisan’s market place is aimed at creating a market space for business owner.

Reduction in the daily outings to open stores, or stuck in a unconducive environment with fumes of vehicles hoping to make a sale. More free time to exercise, see a physician or do things beneficial to the health without fear of missing out of a customer.

05.08 Justification

A new version, I mean new version of marketing for artisan. It takes a whole lot to find a good artisan and so people hold on to their old ones. These long relationships due to scarcity of handy Workers and also monopoly of market unions tend to create inflation of wage charges and prices of materials. Curbing inflation serves the needs of consumers just as making sales effortlessly serves the use of the traders.
