05.08 Justification
Urban; There are a number of e-health platforms doing one or the other of the services we aim to provide. our approach is a comprehensive system that integrates a whole lots of healthcare services and products on a single platform. also, we are more focused on onboarding healthcare businesses or institutions than individual service providers as used by other platforms. Rural: Primary healthcare system in Nigeria has failed. a number of local and international NGOs have tried to fill the space however most of them don't have plan for sustainability and have barely scratched the surface of the enormous task. iReferDoc plans a scalable idea that uses Community health workers, standard guidelines, training and partnering with local healthcare providers, Technology such as Telemedicine, Innovation by using locally available materials, community engagement and partnership, continuous health education, a referral-based system and local investment in host communities for sustainability.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
Urban; Helium health-Telemedicine and EHR; Reliance HMO-health insurance; Vazeeta - Appointment booking, telemedicine; Drugs.ng - Drugs sales and delivery. iReferDoc perceives healthcare as comprehensive system that can seamlessly intergrate all these individual functions and more into one efficient and intuitively designed platform. Rural; NGOs are the major competition. NGOs come and go once objective has been achieved or funding is used up. Also, most NGO's modus operandi is not very scalable as such their coverage across rural communities is very little. iReferDoc belongs to the community and stays with the community for as long as the need for our service remains. iReferDoc will not come with fixed programs, however our programs and services will depend on the need of the community per time. Our approach is highly scalable and can be replicated in as many communities as required.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
