The Elaya Unity School Project. Mission: Elaya Unity School is committed to delivering excellence in education, nurturing young minds, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and unity. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Objectives: Establish state-of-the-art nursery, primary, and secondary schools in Egita and neighboring villages. Recruit highly qualified teachers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. Implement a holistic curriculum that not only focuses on academic excellence but also emphasizes character development, critical thinking, and creativity. Impact: The impact of the Elaya Unity School Project goes beyond academic achievements. By investing in education, we are investing in the future of Egita and its surrounding villages. We envision a community where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Egi, is a land abundant in natural resources, notably contributes about 30% of Nigeria's natural gas and about 20% of its crude oil. Despite hosting Total Energies in Rivers State, her people suffer from poverty, ignorance, and backwardness, exacerbated by political turmoil fueled by poor leadership and misused funds. There is a high moral decadence across Egi as a result of this poverty and ignorance. Elaya Unity School aims to address these challenges at their core, by establishing an educational system that nurtures creativity, problem-solving, character development, and independence early. Our goal is to inspire Egi's children to build and uplift their communities, moving beyond reliance on crude oil exploration. Our goal is building a nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools that builds our children's vocational skills and help them prepare for global citizenship while looking beyond their backgrounds.

This breakthrough in education ensures that graduates are well-rounded individuals capable of navigating challenges and seizing opportunities in various fields beyond crude oil exploration. Long-term Socio-Economic Growth: Through our emphasis on character development, skills acquisition, and community-focused mindset, Elaya Unity School contributes to long-term socio-economic growth in Egi. Elaya Unity Schools Project will serve Egi Children from Ages 1-18. Our Target Beneficiaries are all children of school ages from nursery through secondary school.

In encouraging the next generation of Egi children to look beyond Crude Oil Exploration or working in Oil Companies we must introduce Agriculture which includes fish farming. Egi has over 20 Species of Fishes therefore in teaching conservation and by leveraging on the natural resources in our water lands while addressing the existing challenges, we are significantly aligning more robustly to the local and national economy thus, justifying the United Nations Sustainable Growth and Development Goal on Life Below Water.

Introducing vocational studies to Elaya primary and secondary schools curriculum distinguishes our school by offering practical, diverse, and locally relevant learning opportunities that prepare students for success in their future careers and contribute to the overall development of the community. Also, it supports Innovation and Adaptability: By embracing vocational education, our school demonstrates innovation and adaptability in responding to changing educational and economic landscapes. It shows our commitment to providing relevant and future-focused learning experiences that empower students to thrive in this ever-evolving world.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
All Nursery Primary and Secondary Schools in Egi are my main competitors. What makes us stand out is our vision to use education to reshape the pictures of the future of Egi one village at a time. We are resolute to make Egi great without the usual calling out and fighting our leaders but through detailed curriculum, better information and by setting our school in the global scene we will stand out from the "village school" stereotype and do great things from our small space.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes. I own a food delivery business in my community. I also supply cosmetics and perfumes to store owners and try to engage local businesses to help them reach a wider audience.
