Our project aims to establish a sustainable broiler chicken production facility that leverages green and renewable energy sources to promote environmental stewardship and economic viability.

EcoBroiler: Sustainable Poultry Farming with Renewable Energy Establishing a sustainable broiler chicken farm using solar power and biogas to reduce emissions, lower costs, and create community jobs. A scalable model promoting green practices in poultry farming. By integrating renewable energy solutions into broiler chicken production, this project not only aims to produce high-quality poultry products but also sets a benchmark for sustainable agricultural practices.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Job creation and Food Security According to a 2021 study report, Nigeria is only able to meet a little above 50% of the demand of chicken meat. This is a large gap and my project having a great vision of expanding large in few years to come will contribute in bridging this gap and creating enough poultry meat for members of the community and its environs. Also jobs will be created both directly and indirectly to members of host community in areas of veterinary doctors, farm attendants, security, office assistants and many more opportunities will be provided.

1. Environmental Sustainability: Implement solar panels to meet the farm's energy requirements, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. 2. Waste Management: Utilize poultry waste to produce biogas, which will be used for heating and powering equipment, further minimizing waste and creating a circular energy system. 3. Economic Efficiency: Lower operational costs through renewable energy utilization, increasing profitability and sustainability. 4. Community Impact: Provide training and employment opportunities for local youths and entrepreneurs, fostering community development and skill enhancement. Scalability: Develop a scalable model that can be replicated in other regions, promoting widespread adoption of green practices in the poultry industry.

This project is aimed at serving the immediate community and neighbouring communities with the best organically raised boiler chicken. Anyone who consumes meat is targeted

Usman Taiwo Hassan - CEO Bigbro Multibiz He is a seasoned farmer with experience and certification in Boiler farming. He will be incharge of providing assistance with decision making and also advising the farm on the most sustainable way of carrying out this project. With his level of experience, he is the best person that I can work the success of this project with. More partners will be on boarded later.

This project will help improve the health is the masses as it will provide the best quality of broiler chickens other than the injected once being sold to the masses. Our broiler chickens will be well fed with quality organic feed with no addition of growth supplements (which could potentially reduce the quality of meat produced). Our chicken will be as close as possible to locally raised chicken and provide identical nutrients as them.

Through training and retraining of staffs and also to through organised educational session with secondary school students, this project will help educate and provide good learning opportunities in poultry farming. We will organise yearly session which will onboard students across the country in weekly hands-on seminar on Boiler chicken raising.

My project as much as possible will employ staffs and workers without being gender bias. Our positions will be made opened to both capable males and females as gender will not be a barrier

As a business that requires our chicken to drink clean quality water at all times, we are committed to providing clean source of water on the farms also to avoid introduction of diseases to the farm which could threaten the health of the chickens, thorough sanitation measures will be put in place like sterilisation of equipments, maintenance of good personal hygiene by the staffs, washing of hands and wearing of specially treated protective clothes before approaching the pen house.

In line with this goal, our farm already has decided to use renewable source of energy only. Our farm will run 24 hours 7 days a week with solar power no form of diesel or petrol combustion power generators will be used.

05.08 Justification

With the rate of demand for broiler chickens meat in the country, our project will help contribute to bridging the gap between this high demand by making available adequate quality broiler chickens in time all year round. Our style of production is unique as opposed to the normal methods used by farmers who are only interested in making profits from it. We will produce the best quality nutritious meat in the poultry industry as our chicks will be sourced from the best farmers available and the raising process will be thoroughly monitored

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Our main competitors are local farmers. These farmers don't ensure clean environment for their products, they don't maintain good hygiene and are just raising for profits only thereby producing substandard meat full of fats for the population. Our projects stands out as the procedure path we take ensures production of broiler meats that will not only compete with this local ones but will stand out better and best for the consumers as their well being is important to us and not just profit.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes, our project aims to employ more female staffs after start up to promote female in agriculture and that's is part of our vision and love for female gender
