Pure-Flow WSSPDS is a social enterprise dedicated to providing affordable and sustainable access to clean drinking water for under-served communities worldwide. We focus on water sourcing, storage, purification, and distribution services.

Pure-Flow WSSPDS aims to address the critical issue of inadequate access to clean water in rural and urban slum areas like Ifite-Awka, Awka South, Anambra State, Nigeria. Our solution involves sourcing water from areas with surplus, storing it to manage scarcity, purifying it using proven methods that remove bacteria and parasites, and distributing it in reusable 20L containers. Additionally, we provide low-cost water filters and containers to households, significantly reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea. By leveraging community networks, local leaders, and health organizations, we conduct grassroots outreach and education. Our flexible pricing strategy, including installment payment options, ensures affordability for low-income households. We also integrate part-time employment opportunities for local university students to assist with marketing and distribution efforts. This comprehensive approach aims to improve health outcomes and sustainability.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem Pure-Flow WSSPDS is addressing is the inadequate access to clean drinking water in rural and urban slum areas of Ifite-Awka, Awka South, Anambra State, Nigeria. Traditional water sources in these regions are often contaminated, posing severe health risks and contributing to waterborne diseases such as diarrhea. Existing solutions, such as sachet and bottled water, are either too expensive or insufficient in quantity, while methods like boiling water require resources that are not always available or affordable. This lack of access to safe drinking water adversely affects the health and well-being of the community, leading to high rates of illness and, in severe cases, death. Our project aims to provide a sustainable and affordable solution by sourcing, purifying, storing, and distributing clean water, along with offering low-cost water filters and containers to ensure long-term accessibility and improved public health.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Affordable Access to Clean Water: Pure-Flow WSSPDS offers purified water in 20L reusable gallons at a significantly lower cost compared to sachet and bottled water. This makes safe drinking water more accessible to low-income households in rural and urban slum areas. We intend to distribute at the price between ₦300 and ₦350 (Nigerian Naira). This pricing strategy aims to offer a more affordable alternative. 2. Health Improvement: By providing purified water that effectively removes bacteria and parasites, our service reduces the incidence of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, leading to improved overall health and reduced medical expenses for the community. 3. Sustainable Solution: Our approach includes the distribution of low-cost water filters and containers, ensuring a long-term, environmentally friendly solution. This reduces reliance on single-use plastic water sachets and bottles, promoting sustainability and reducing environmental pollution.

Pure-Flow WSSPDS primarily targets under-served communities in rural and urban slum areas, with a specific focus on regions like Ifite-Awka, Awka South, Anambra State, Nigeria. Our beneficiaries include low-income households that struggle to afford clean drinking water, individuals in areas where traditional water sources are contaminated, and communities with limited access to existing water filtration systems. Additionally, we aim to support local tertiary institution students by offering part-time employment opportunities, thereby integrating them into our distribution and outreach efforts. Our goal is to reach those most vulnerable to waterborne diseases and provide them with affordable, sustainable access to safe drinking water.
