I want to start a dairy farm. A big beautiful and modern dairy cattle farm that will ultimately generate quality products at reasonable prices

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

I want to start a cattle ranch. I need a large piece of land which has suitable pasture to raise cattle. To start this, I would need capital to acquire a starting stock of cattle, the land, personnel, equipment and even vaccination programs to maintain their health. I am particularly interested in cattle breeds that produce good amount of milk while they can still be useful at the end for meat. So a dairy farm is what I have in mind

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I have discovered that dairy/cattle farms are particularly rare in this country, especially in the western part of Nigeria. Most cattle rearers are nomads (they move from place to place). Having a cattle ranch will reduce the problems of nomadism such as the nuisance caused by nomads and relatively poor quality of livestock. My ranch on the other hand will ensure that people can get milk and meat from a neat and reputable source with good history of vaccination and health management

1. It guarantees good and healthy quality of meat and milk from cattle 2. Reasonable and standard price of products 3. It'll create employment opportunities for farm workers

The general public will benefit. In particular, production companies who use dairy products as part of their ingredients, individuals who want to buy cows for one occasion or the other and traders who buy cows to slaughter and sell the meat will benefit.
