01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we're trying to solve is connecting online shoppers with their regular local stores for cheaper products. We're also looking to solve the huge unemployment issue in Nigeria today by creating freelance opportunities for our droppers. You literally don't need a bike to start earning. Additionally, we provide local sellers with the visibility they deserve by using efficient technology to include them in the network.

Dropoff is designed to serve three primary groups of beneficiaries. Firstly, online buyers who seek a quick and seamless shopping experience. These users can easily access their favorite items and discover new products from local vendors, all in one convenient app. Secondly, local vendors who are looking to expand their reach and attract more customers. Dropoff provides these vendors with an enhanced online presence, allowing them to be discovered by a broader audience. Lastly, freelance couriers, referred to as "droppers," benefit from the flexible job opportunities the app offers. They can earn income by delivering orders swiftly and efficiently. Dropoff's main potential competitors include established delivery apps like Chowdeck and Glovo, as well as online shopping platforms such as Jumia and Konga. However, what sets Dropoff apart is our unique focus on bridging the gap between online buyers and local vendors. Unlike larger platforms that may prioritize speed over locality, Dropoff emphasizes supporting local businesses by connecting them directly with online shoppers who appreciate personalized and community-oriented shopping experiences.
