01.01 Describe your project in more detail
This project aims to address the need for comprehensive early childhood education in Ekiti, Nigeria, where such resources are currently lacking. The absence of quality early childhood education adversely affects children's cognitive development, resulting in difficulties with reading, learning and early skill detection and interest. This idea involves establishing accessible early childhood education centers that provide a nurturing environment for children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, teaching them also,how to plant and nuture a garden We recognize the importance of holistic development including nutrition and child rights education. Therefore,we plan to integrate training sessions for parents and teachers on the importance of a balanced diet for children's growth and cognitive function through locally affordable and available food. Children's right empowering them to create safe and supportive environments where children can express themselves freely.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we aim to solve is the lack of accessible, quality and innovative early childhood education in Ekiti, Nigeria. This absence hinders children's cognitive developments, leading to difficulties in reading,learning and early skill development and interest Also, the inadequate knowledge on nutrition and children's right among parents and teachers further exacerbates the challenges faced by growing children. This project seeks to address these issues by establishing early childhood education centers, providing holistic education, and offering training on nutrition and child rights to parents and teachers.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
The benefit of the service our project are as follows: 1. We will lay a very strong foundation for children's academic success by fostering essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking, enabling them to excel in future educational endeavors also building their love for garden keeping. 3. Through a holistic approach to education, our program will promote children's social, emotional, and physical well being, ensuring they develop into well rounded individuals capable of navigating life's challenges with confidence and resilience. 3. By providing training on nutrition and child rights to parents and teachers, we empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills needed to support children's growth and development effectively, creating a supportive ecosystem conducive to children's overall well-being and success.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
This project aimed at serving two primary groups which are. 1. Children aged 0-5 2. Caregivers which includes parents and teachers in Ekiti State Nigeria. Children in this age group are at a critical stage of development, and access to quality early childhood education will significantly impact their future success. The caregivers which includes parents and teachers, play a vital role in nurturing children's growth and development. By providing comprehensive early childhood education programs and training on nutrition and child rights, we aim to empower both children and caregivers, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to thrive.

05.08 Justification
Currently in Ekiti State Nigeria, there's no institution offering early childhood education which gives this project an edge over others. This project is unique and innovative because it introduces comprehensive early childhood education to the region. By providing a holistic curriculum tailored to the needs of young learners and offering training on child development to parents, we address a critical gap in education and empower caregivers with knowledge and resources to support their children's growth effectively.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
The projects main potential competitors may include traditional educational institutions and informal childcare providers in Ekiti, Nigeria. However what sets us apart is our comprehensive approach to early childhood education, which includes a holistic curriculum, training for parents on child development, and a focus on community engagement. Also,our emphasis on culturally sensitive practices and locally relevant content distinguishes us, ensuring that we meet the unique needs of children and families in the region better than our competitors.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes, I'm initiating actions within the community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs. Promoting the role of female entrepreneurs is crucial for the development of the economy and build confidence of a woman. Actions that I will take to promote female entrepreneurs includes organizing workshops and training programs specifically tailored to women share open opportunities creating networking events, and advocating for policies that support women in business.
