Production of Cassava and extracts (garri, starch, and cassava chips. Transformation of waste products (peels and chaff) into quality graded feeds for Economic development

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Uniques' Agro Ventures as an initiative aims at Producing Organic Cassava produce and extraction. There's a high demand for food extracts from cassava plant such as Garri, Cassava chips(kpokpo garri) and cassava flour perhaps due to the yearly increase of Nigeria's population, it could be linked to the fact that an average Nigerian depends on this staple food daily. Owing to the rigid weather conditions and jobs, Nigerians regards this staple food as a life saver as it is an energy giving food required for stamina to carry out their daily goals. Uniques Agro Venture also aims at empowering youths and adults by offering Free Training on Cassava production and extraction Processes, this reducing unemployment to a certain rate. Research shows that cassava peels(waste) could be transformed into finished goods like quality animal feeds, it has also been found as a lucrative business which acts as a substitute for other animal food like corn. also as a medium of ensuring waste management.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Availability- to bridge the gap between production and distribution. Due to civilization, many farmers have left their farms for white collar jobs. This has somehow reduced the supply against demand. Empowerment- equipping and empowering young entrepreneurs on the opportunities in cassava Production,Extract and waste management. Diversity- exploring the opportunities for the Recycling for Value initiative. Quality - Producing the best of quality fiber-rich extracts enriched with vitamin Producing Organic and ethical produce for healthy health. Reducing hunger and unemployment by offering free training for young entrepreneurs (male and female)

cassava extracts like garri is one of the most common food in Nigeria. Adults, youth and children from about 8 Months upward share their joy in this wonderful food staple, this perhaps has been the major cause for high demand as the nation's population begin to increase yearly. Unique Agro Venture tends to produce quality and affordable extracts to reach out to many plus the empowerment programme cited to enhance entrepreneurial wealth

Mr Meshach an agro scientist and farmer. He owns a large fish farm and piggery, a tutor, counsellor and advisor for agro businesses. Mrs Stella an innovative small scale farmer who owns a tubber farm and rears chicken and turkey. Mr Alabi the CEO of Crown Agro Ventures, a Vet doctor and farmer with a large cucumber farm in Portharcout. Mr Barry a lecturer in the university of Portharcout Rivers State and a consultant in Vegetable production and Aquaculture.

Production of organic cassava extract that are rich in fiber and vitamin A

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Small scale Farmers produces cassava extracts that are being consumed daily and due to the carbohydrates and starch in cassava Produce it could have visual effects. But our aim at Uniques Agro Ventures is to produce cassava extracts that are rich in vitamin A and fibre required for better optical function and overall health Young entrepreneurs and investors are being offered Free Training to enable them take advantage in the wealth embedded in Cassava Production and extraction processes
