01.01 Describe your project in more detail

This project aims to create low-cost writing materials that also contain valuable and intriguing educational content, in the form of a pamphlet that will be included with the materials. The project's purpose is to help reverse the decline in education value in Nigeria by fostering curiosity, engagement, and self-motivated learning among students and non-students of all ages.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Nigeria's education system is facing several challenges, including outdated teaching methods, lack of investment in educational resources, and diminishing interest in learning among students. As a result, many students struggle to achieve their full potential and lack the critical thinking and civic awareness necessary for a successful and engaged citizenry. To address these issues, we must find innovative ways to spark curiosity and engagement in learning, and promote self-motivated learning.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Enhanced Engagement and Curiosity: Each notebook includes a pamphlet with carefully curated, educational content designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. By integrating interesting and informative materials directly into everyday writing tools, students and non-students are more likely to engage with the content and pursue further education independently. 2. Affordable and Accessible Learning Resources: The project aims to produce high-quality writing materials at an affordable price, ensuring that educational institutions and individuals have easy access to essential learning tools. This affordability makes it possible for a wider range of people to benefit from enhanced educational resources. 3. Promotion of Lifelong Learning and Civic Responsibility: By including diverse and relevant information in the pamphlets, the project promotes lifelong learning and awareness to civic duties. This approach helps cultivate well-informed, active citizens.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

This project aims to serve the students of Nigeria, particularly those between the ages of 6 and 20, in basic schools, secondary schools, and even higher institutions. This group encompasses learners from a variety of backgrounds and educational levels, all of whom stand to benefit from increased engagement in learning, critical thinking, and civic awareness. By targeting young minds, we hope to not only improve the quality of education in the present but also to nurture lifelong learners and leaders who will contribute positively to society.

Raw material suppliers: A network of suppliers that provide the necessary materials and tools for the production of low-cost writing materials, such as paper, ink, tools, etc. Production crew: A team of skilled workers responsible for different stages of the production process, including printing, binding, and packaging. Research team: A group of researchers, including data analysts, who work together to identify and curate the most relevant, informative, and impactful content to be printed on the writing materials. They analyze data, trends, and educational needs to ensure that the materials are well-targeted and effective.

By providing students with low-cost writing materials that also contain engaging, informative, and relevant content, our project seeks to promote lifelong learning and civic awareness. By creating a culture of self-motivated learning and critical thinking, we aim to produce not just literate citizens, but also informed and responsible citizens who can contribute to the economic and social development of their communities and their country. By doing so, we can help break the cycle of poverty and build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.

This, in turn, can lead to healthier communities and a lower burden on the healthcare system.

The use of educational content that sparks curiosity, promotes self-motivated learning, and challenges harmful social norms and practices is an innovative approach to promoting education and social change. The decision to involve the local community in the production process and to prioritize local talent creates a unique model of sustainable development, where economic growth is directly linked to the project's educational mission.

Focus on creating a blend of physical and intellectual value, making learning more engaging and memorable.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Through words of mouth and actions, I often encourage the women in my life and community to prioritize their own personal growth and well-being and also independence. I urge them to challenge societal norms and expectations that may limit their potential, instead pursuing their own definition of success and happiness.
