By producing renewable energy, biogas, and organic fertilizers, TerraMend aims to minimize waste and promote environmental sustainability. We plan to establish decentralized waste processing facilities and community-based collection systems to ensure efficient operations and positive environmental impact. Through these efforts, TerraMend aims to foster economic growth and environmental stewardship in Nigeria.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
TerraMend will address the pressing issue of inefficient waste management globally, including in Nigeria. Inadequate handling and disposal of waste lead to environmental degradation, health risks, and resource wastage. This situation worsens pollution, increases greenhouse gas emissions, and hinders sustainable development. Our solution will focus on transforming waste into valuable resources like renewable energy, biogas, and organic fertilizers. Using advanced technologies such as anaerobic digestion and pyrolysis, TerraMend aims to reduce waste volume, minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices. By providing efficient waste processing solutions, TerraMend aims to benefit local municipalities and governments seeking sustainable waste management practices to improve public health and environmental quality. Additionally, businesses and industries generating organic and inorganic waste stand to benefit from cost-effective disposal alternatives and potential revenue streams through waste-to-energy and bioproducts. Moreover, TerraMend aims to empower individuals by creating green job opportunities in waste collection, processing, and technology implementation, thereby supporting economic growth and community development initiatives.

1. Innocent is the co-lead for this project. He is involved with the engineering aspect of the project. Also, he is involved with other logistics involved in this project. 2. Chioma is a creative writer, researcher, and a blogger. She has been involved with the research aspect of this project, documenting and analyzing the findings. 3. Patrick is a very creative and passionate Web Designer and Web Developer. He is also involved with the conducting research for the project. He is also involved with the development of the web solutions of the project. We hope to engage other partners and stakeholders as the project progresses.
