The full name of my project is the Rumodani community children's theater. It's a theater house dedicated to the artistic development of children. Here children learn new ways to be more than they can be

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The Rumodani community children's theater is basically a place where the children living in the community of Rumodani, elelenwo come together to learn about the arts in forms of acting, music, dance, etc. The theater will be dedicated to putting on shows with these children as the stars. Here the children will learn the basic fundamentals of acting, music and dancing. Not only that but they will all be provided the opportunity to showcase their talents to an audience.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Well the community of Rumodani is filled with poor families. Poor families that have a lot of children. These children can't really afford some basic recreational items such as toys, video games, comic books etc. Their only form of recreation is play with sticks and footballs and plastic bottles or not even playing at all. It's really sad. They lack artistic ingenuity. I thought they need to be a part of something big, something out of this world. They needed a way to explore the world and different cultures and time periods and so on. How else besides harnessing the power of their imaginations. Hence the Rumodani community children's theater was born. With the power of acting these kids will go on adventures like no other. With the power of music these children will find the harmony in the world. With the power of dance these kids will become in tune with the rhythm of the universe.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1) the theater will be located inside the community and will be affordable to the parents living in the community of Rumodani 2) it caters to the side of the African child that is being neglected by a vicious corporate world 3) it provides the kids with valuable life skills that they can use to secure financial, mental, emotional and social stability.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Now first of all, you must know this. We plan to generate income from ticket sales to the shows and performances that we would be putting on. We would also be making premium content that can be uploaded to YouTube or let's say a TV station. In today's world, content is gold. With that being said, our target beneficiaries will be the families living in the Rumodani area. This is our gimmick, it basically a kids club for the fortunate children living in Rumodani, they will be the main beneficiaries. Other than our audience that enjoy content.

Now first of all, I wish to say that the children that star in our content will not be paid, however they will be provided with the necessary skills, appropriate coaching and and a platform to showcase their talents. They will be equipped with skills to survive by the time they are adults.

As far as am concerned there isn't any other children's theater in the whole of Nigeria. The Rumodani community children's theater will truly be the first of it's kind

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Remember I earlier said that we plan to generate revenue through ticket sales? Well we plan to be the hottest family friendly joint in port Harcourt. I want families planing trips to the theater to see a locally made show at least once a week. So therefore our main competition will be other family friendly joins such as arcades, cinemas, amusement parks, zoo's, etc. The Rumodani community children's theater will stand out form the others due to our unique experience found nowhere else.

No
