01.01 Describe your project in more detail
The CLESP HUB PROJECT is a project aimed at creating an ICT learning environment for young minds in the creeks of the Central City, Abuja, mainly Gwagwalada Local Government Area. The goal is to have a training center that teaches major ICT skills, but not limited to that, the project aimed at providing a co-working space for participants after the training for a period of three months to build on the learnt skills and learn practical soft skills, while also providing a market for them to showcase the skills learnt through internship programs, job placements and marketing structures. This also affords the opportunity to create an eco-system around these skill sets, as it becomes a hub for every major ICT skills necessary. Prospective clients can come to the hub and have all their ICT based problem solved.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
There is a major death of legit Tech based financially stable individuals in this part of the country, I strongly believe with the training and most importantly job opportunities given to participants, there will be a gradual change of narrative. The ever-increasing rise of fraud has contributed a lot to the moral decadence of individuals in the community, this project is aimed at not just making participants financially stable, but also making them responsible members of the society through personal development training. Young minds who can not afford to get trained in this knowledge for high costs of training, can be trained and be given a source of livelihood, which will trickle down to affect the community at large. This common and shared problem also offers the opportunity for community-induced projects such as cleaning, sport events. The goal is to create a community of people with shared interests, who after being illuminated go ahead to illuminate others.
