Project Description: Creating 3D Printing Filament from Waste Bottles Objectives Environmental Impact: Reduce plastic waste by recycling PET bottles into usable 3D printing filaments. Economic Benefit: Create a cost-effective alternative to commercially available 3D printing filaments. Community Engagement: Raise awareness about recycling and sustainability within the community and 3D printing enthusiasts. Materials and Equipment Raw Material: Waste PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. Shredder: Cut the PET bottles into small, manageable flakes. Extruder: A machine to melt the PET flakes and extrude them into filaments. Filament Winder: To collect the extruded filament onto spools. Drying Equipment: To remove moisture from PET flakes before extrusion. Granulator: To further refine the shredded PET into uniform granules if necessary. Process Overview Collection and Cleaning: Collect waste PET bottles, remove labels and caps, and thoroughly clean them to remove any contaminants
