Describe your project or startup in a few words
Objective Installation of all type of solar technology i.e. solar power plant (On-Grid and Off-Grid), solar water pumping system, solar street lighting system and solar home lighting system. Enhancing the technology by continuous research and development
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
A reliable, affordable and secure supply of energy is important for socio-economic development. As a country of acute power crisis Nigeria is now looking forward to develop its renewable energy sources in addition to its traditional sources of fossil fuel. Solar energy is the most abundant renewable energy source of Nigeria. Taking advantage of it we can enrich our regular life. I have tried to focus on the alternative uses of solar energy to ensure the energy security in near future. A solar based electric vehicle recharging station can reduce the fossil fuel consumption in transportation sector without using any power from grid and will keep our environment clean. A DC grid in off grid area based on solar PV can solve our irrigation problem as well as will ensure a better life for the rural people. Solar cooking can be a viable option for cooking both in rural and city area for reducing the natural gas consumption and burning.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Solar power could help mitigate issues that coincide with climate change. Through the use of renewable energy, less pollution is generated and fewer deleterious effects will be realized by the public. Solar power also enables people without access to power grids to generate their own energy, which can help alleviate poverty in some areas.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Providing electricity for meeting lighting needs of households and rural markets can bring several positive impacts including improvement of quality of life and increasing in income and employment opportunities. So, rural electrification through solar energy is a model to the users is that they are free from the responsibility of maintaining the system. The risk of the whole system has been avoided with the involvement of local community in management. Demonstration of solar energy system has been successful to create interest among the rural people and demand from other locations also observed.

01.10 Which industry best describes your project?
a) Energy (equipment, services, sustainable energy and fuel)
02.01.01 My project contributes to the No poverty goal
6
02.01.02 No poverty - Justification
Inclusive economic growth is the single most effective means of reducing poverty and boosting prosperity. Yet most economic activity is impossible without adequate, reliable and competitively priced modern energy. This is why access to energy is so important in the fight against poverty. Solar energy is a renewable, inexhaustible and affordable form of energy. It can be used to cook food, heat water, and generate electricity.
02.02.01 My project contributes to the Zero hunger goal
6
02.02.02 Zero hunger - Justification
Cost savings: By reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources, solar energy can lead to lower energy costs for consumers and businesses, freeing up disposable income that can be spent on other goods and services, boosting local economies.
02.03.01 My project contributes to the Good health and well-being goal
6
02.03.02 Good health and well-being - Justification
Solar energy reduces respiratory and cardiovascular health issues. One of the most significant solar energy benefits is that it doesn't release air pollutants because it's a clean energy source.
02.04.01 My project contributes to the Quality education goal
5
02.04.02 Quality education - Justification
Schools can use their solar energy systems as teaching tools to help students learn about renewable energy, climate change, and sustainability.
02.05.01 My project contributes to the Gender equality goal
7 - Strongly Agree
02.05.02 Gender equality - Justification
Unequal societies are less cohesive. They have higher rates of anti-social behaviour and violence. Countries with greater gender equality are more connected. Their people are healthier and have better wellbeing. Simultaneously, these women are able to access energy, education, and improve economic development, all of which positively contributes to building gender equity. Not to mention, that this clean energy is helping reduce emissions and in turn reduce the effects of climate change.
02.06.01 My project contributes to the Clean water and sanitation goal
7 - Strongly Agree
02.06.02 Clean water and sanitation - Justification
Solar desalination is a technique used to remove salt from water via a specially designed still that uses solar energy to boil seawater and capture the resulting steam, which is in turn cooled and condensed into pristine freshwater. Salt and other impurities are left behind in the still.
02.07.01 My project contributes to the Affordable and clean energy goal
7 - Strongly Agree
02.07.02 Affordable and clean energy - Justification
Solar energy can also improve air quality, reduce water use from energy production, and provide ecosystem services for host communities through carbon sequestration, pollination, and ground and stormwater management.
02.08.01 My project contributes to the Decent work and economic growth
5
02.08.02 Decent work and economic growth - Justification
It reduces energy costs Having alternatives to hand like solar PV is a great way to reduce dependence on volatile energy markets. It makes energy bills more manageable and predictable, increasing spending power and boosting the economy overall. Solar power supports sustainable industries by providing a clean, renewable energy source. It drives innovation in green technology and helps industries reduce their environmental impact

02.14.02 Life below water - Justification
Environmental effects are a result of all energy generation and transmission methods. Traditional producing options can harm the air, climate, water, land, wildlife, and ecosystem as well as raise unsafe radiation levels, as is evident from their consequences. Renewable technologies offer a solution to a number of social and environmental problems and are substantially safer than fossil and nuclear energy. Solar power technology outperforms the potential of other renewable energy sources like wind and biomass-derived energy by several orders of magnitude. Additionally, solar energy has a number of benefits that appeal to people in different parts of the world, such as lowering greenhouse gas emissions, stabilising degraded land, increasing energy independence, creating jobs, accelerating rural electrification, and raising life standard in developed nations
