Phutha Mmoho aims to implement an effective waste management system in Free State, Botshabelo reducing waste disposal issues and promoting a cleaner environment. The project will include:Waste collection and segregation,Recycling and composting,Educationa
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
This waste management plan strives for maximum waste recovery through composting, recycling and re-using, and aims at zero waste to b disposed illegally onto dump-yards and landfills. The long term objective is thus to reduce the environmental degration caused by waste. The business will then using a pyrolysis machine which will convert the waste into petroleum products such as diesel.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The aim of this project is to start a centralized waste management activities in the Free State region, thereby ensuring that effective measures and procedures are implemented for the handling, storage, transportation and disposal of waste that is generated from local communities. The plan outlines measures for collection, temporay storage and safe disposal of waste streams associated with the project and includes provisions for the recovery, re-use, and recycling of waste.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
- Increased access to energy: Electricity provides energy access to households, businesses, and industries, supporting economic growth and development. - Improved quality of life: Electricity enables the use of appliances, lighting, and heating/cooling, enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens. - Reduced carbon emissions: A shift from coal to renewable energy sources like solar and wind power helps minimize carbon emissions and mitigates climate change.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Community participation in the(WMP) is key to sustainable and intergrated project. The aim is to get as many as local influencers to participate and activiley contribute to the project. Mostly we want to create a special feeling of ownership to the households whose waste is managed effectively and efficiently.
