We aim to provide a much needed service - especially in and among African communities - of dispatching mobile abattoirs to slaughter cattle humanely during funerals and/or other traditional ceremonies

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The project will be divided into three pivotal divisions 1. Underwriting of the service to be included in normal funeral plans (this is the business) 2. Setting up of slaughtering operators in different towns that will be linked to our online platform for orders and payments. We will ensure that the operators' mobile abattoirs conform to acceptable standards for quick and humane slaughtering of cattle 3. Creation of an Online Platform for customers to request dispatching of slaughtering operators. Main customers will be policy underwriters but we will also make an option on the app for individuals to place their requests

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Cultural preservation of our rituals (slaughtering of cattle during traditional ceremonies; mainly funerals). The urban migration of many Africans has led to the demise of this culturally important practice. We also no longer find young men in African communities who can slaughter cattle anymore and with the advancement of technology we can assist in that regard and not let the traditions disappear

- Humane slaughtering of cattle during African traditional ceremonies - Preservation of the African customs of slaughtering live cattle at the premises of the ceremony during traditional ceremonies - Creation of jobs (or an economy) by introducing mobile abattoir operators in communities - Supporting upstream (local) cattle farmers

My project will bring together the financial sector (insurance/underwriting), cattle farmers, an online platform (interactive ERP) and newly created mobile abattoir operators.
