Dash Delivery is a food and grocery delivery platform, that shines the spotlight on the Township cuisines and stores, catering for the formal and informal businesses in the township and surrounds, ,providing a wide reach of customers to hustlers around.

Dash delivery is a food and grocery service that provides a platform for formal and informal businesses in the townships and surround . the platform will provide delivery services businesses in the townships ranging from the Mothers and fathers that run fruit and vegetable stalls in our townships to the well established businesses.Big Establishements have taken the delivery sector by storm , making them the go to platform for everyone , which in turn our true hustlers in the on the streets loose out on sales

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Dash delivery is a food and grocery service that provides a platform for formal and informal businesses in the townships and surround. the platform will provide delivery services businesses in the townships ranging from the mothers and fathers that run fruit and vegetable stalls in our townships to the well-established businesses. Big Establishments have taken the delivery sector by storm, making them the go-to platforms for everyone, which in turn ,our true hustlers on the streets suffer from loss of sales , due to the lack of convenience .By providing this services it will encourage people to purchase food and groceries locally from our society , provide them with a wider customer base ,enriching and empowering our youth and communities.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1)By using Dash Delivery , customers will have access to a wide variety of foods and grocery options sold / produced locally, ,enriching their community's economy. 2)Our multi-cart option is a game changer, as it will allow you to make orders from multiple stores and have them delivered at the same time (fast foods and groceries delivered at the same time!), killing two birds with one stone! 3)This will provide employment to the youth, as most services require vehicles and motorcycles. Our platform requires atleast a proper functioning bicycle or e-bike to start delivering , thus making it easier for partners to join. 4) The platform is youth-owned and fully black-owned; it will inspire the youth to reach for the stars 5)platform will provide informal businesses with a platform to showcase their businesses and attract a wider pool of customers.

-the project is aimed at serving the informal businesses that operate in our communities and townships , to help them reach more customers and grow their businesses.

I (Juda Mpho Sengata) am the founder of Dash Delivery. I am a final-year Bsc Computer Science and Informatics student at the University of Johannesburg. My skill set include software development and entrepreneurship, I have a good understanding and running of a buisiness as i have had numerous successful informal businesses in my schooling and earlier university days ) I am the senior developer of Dash Delivery.

my startup will provide informal businesses a platform to sell their produce to a larger scale of customers. This will help growth of informal food and grocery businesses found in our community. It will also provide employment for the youth to be delivery partners, with the use of bicycles and e-bikes, making it easier for them to register.

Since the startup will be majoring in providing a platform for informal businesses to reach a wider customer base , it will provide growth in the businesses, which in turn will create more jobs in terms of staff, etc. it will brew new entrepreneurs as it will empower people to start their own food , farming and grocery businesses with ease.

my project is Unique as it allows customers to make orders from multiple stores and have them delivered all at once , and our operation in the townships and involvement in the community will foster entrepreneurship and employment

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Uber eats, Mr D, bolt food. my competitors only operate in suburban areas and cities ,leaving the townships with no service and you can only make one order at a time. whereas my project will operate in and out of the townships providing the convinence of food and delivery services to townships and surrounding areas, also providing a multi cart option that allows users to make an order from more than one store at a time . grabbing both the fast food and groceries at the same time!
