Energy betting is a project looking to promote a savy culture in energy usage in households by offering incentives to energy savers. All energy savers will have a chance to participate in draws to stand a chance of winning prizes for their efforts.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Energy Betting is South Africa where there is limited sources of energy. Energy Betting is looking to build a community of enargy saving households through its incentives programmes which will be sponsored by private companies, government and various other agencies. Energy betting will charge (10%) to the funds sponsored on the incentive programmes. We aim to channel the society to give in their efforts in aim to reduce energy use. We are propelled by the idea that when there is recognition of energy saving households, we will foster and create a culture around the importance of being energy savvy. We are gearing South African communities to really to make efforts and participate in the energy problems because a community effort will amount to a great effort.

We are trying to solve the energy problem in South Africa by building an energy savvy culture in south Africa.

The targeted beneficiaries is firstly the people who are participating in energy saving by a way of recognising them by one or another or through incentives.

The use of diverse multiple sources of energies will result in efficient production levels in the long term. in our view, we believe that when there is targeted promotion on responsible consumption, it will affect production positively. It is extremely important that we challenge community participation to the energy problem. We aim to make use of any method available to target to target responsible consumption amongst our communities.
