Describe your project or startup in a few words
Parcello & Freight - PFR is a mobile app designed to address pain points experienced daily by Consumers and service providers in the Courier & Freight industry. PFR facilitates deliveries in a more efficient, safe & secure way. All at a touch of a button
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Parcello and Freight known as PFR is a mobile app designed to tackle the many pain-points currently experienced within the courier, express, parcel and freight industries. PFR is the first On-Demand multi – delivery logistics platform which boasts a complete offering of light / medium / heavy duty vehicles. It is designed to give consumers as well as industry role-players a safer, more secure as well as a more efficient experience within the industry. Our On-demand approach allows for parcels to be collected within 20min and delivered instantly. This tech product has the potential to revolutionize the industry as we know it today, creating value for consumers, driver partners, stakeholders. PFR Boasts: • Real time delivery service at a touch of a button • Live tracking of goods in transit on the app • Secure load delivery • Single / multiple delivery points • Complete range of vehicles to suite any specification (Cargo / Bulk / Liquid/ Frozen)(1 ton – 34 ton) • Fixed pricing structure
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The current market is broken into two sectors. A formal sector with unregulated and in most times exorbitant prices, and the informal sector with usually lower prices but with a high risk of personal safety as well as the security of ones goods. In many instances one would follow the truck carryinng their furniture when relocating homes due to the fear of it not arriving where it was supposed to. Current industry Pain-points: • Currently no ON-DEMAND CEP + Freight delivery app available in South Africa • Market broken into formal and informal sectors (Huge informal sector) • Price is unregulated within formal and informal sectors • Thousands of service providers which becomes a nightmare to choose from • No service provider performance ratings available affecting decision making • Unprofessional practices (Informal Market) • Unsecure (Informal Market)
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
PFR will not own any vehicles of our own, PFR will hold a register of service providers via a driver partner app, who will be notified to accept the request of the consumer within a specific amount of time. The service providers will have a chance to view the details of the load, pictures of the actual load as well as destination and price. Our products range from a single item (eg: a single page document), to a fully loaded super link truck. A typical example of its use would be you just purchased a new bed and fridge and require delivery services to get the items to your apartment, or you bought hardware lines to redo your garden and require a delivery service, or you have a pile of rubble that you need removed. PFR it! No more searching for suppliers, No need to contact 10 companies searching for price before you can actually focus and complete your task at hand. We make use of existing industry experts, as well as create opportunity for new entrants
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Our target markets are but not limited to the following: Manufacturers / Wholesalers / retailers Law firms Office based industries Residential markets (gardening refuse / refuse / Furniture removal, rubble removal etc.) Commercial markets CEP Markets (Courier, express and parcels) Freight and logistics markets Private market (Delivering gifts, necessities, etc) Online stores (takealot, onedayonly, etc) Essentially the convenience and correct pricing structure would allow Parcello and Freight PFR to take over daily delivery operations in many commercial markets. The following breakdown will highlight the cost of running 1 delivery motorbike (e.g.: Small law firm) per month in South Africa. Bike Installment: 1300 Insurance: 500 Fuel: 1000 Driver: 6500 Cellphone: 300 Maintenance: 500 Total cost per bike per month: R10100 per month. (Non value added costs of delivering) These are the direct cost highlighted above

Not answered05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
Current industry role-players do not fall under the “On-demand delivery” segment. They follow traditional methods of scheduled delivery / overnight delivery / next day delivery. The only ondemand delivery service offered in South Africa are the ones of the UBER parcel feature on the UBER app as well as the parcel feature on in driver, and the second is the informal trade where one can call a bakkie to collect goods in under an hour.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
