Did you know that there are more than 2 million houses in south africa that lack electricity? I introduce "Bright is Life" a simple solar chargeable light that is made with discarded tins and cans. It This light brings hope and light in a dark room.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Meet "Bright is Life" a light made with discarded tins and cans, it is solar chargeable and can also be charged with electricity. This light will be sustainable and prevent tins and cans pollution. With lack of electricity in south africa and high pollution, this light creation will be able to fight two issues with one solution. "Bright is Life" will bring light to a dark room, imagine a student using a candle while studying, this light will make it easier for the student to studying comfortably and with clear view. This light will consist of discard tins, cans and solar panels, it will also have batteries that will make the light lust for longer hours. It will be easy to travel with it, it will be affordable and most importantly it will play a huge impact in communities of south africa, it will create jobs. Is successful, we will hire unemployed youth, train them and give them the opportunity to play part in fighting pollution. "Bright is Life" will bring change and brightness.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Lack of electricity and pollution, "Bright is Life" is a light made up of tins and cans which are discarded and causing pollution. While we have lack of electricity, why don't we create light. A room with a bright light is better than a room with no light.

Unemployment is a core root of poverty and our mission is to eradicate pollution and unemployment, if we hire unemployed people. We are playing part in eradicating poverty. People work and earn money.

Our main goal is to eradicate pollution and unemployment, we will hire people and they will earn money in a form of monthly salary. Whey will use this money to buy food, which means we are playing part in the no hunger rule.

We will train our workers not only know, how to do the job but also how to stay healthy mentally and physically. There will be food dietary meals given to our workers, there will be events that promote mental health. We will also provide therapy, to help our workers.

As I mentioned above, we will hire unemployed people and train them. This training will consist of computer literacy, financial literacy, climate change, pollution, English literacy and digital technology. We will also provide bursary funds to our workers who wish to go study in an higher education institution.

"Bright is Life" is for all, it is fighting pollution, unemployment, inflation and lack of electricity. This light will bring change and growth within the economy. The more people buy it, the more hired people there more we fight and eradicate pollution. For example, let's say we hire 20 workers to make 100 lights, and sell these lights. This means 100 houses would be using this lights.

"Bright is Life" start from the discarded tins and cans, we collect them, them in manufacturing process. We create these lights, then move to the distribution process, selling them to local markets. And lastly people using them during power cuts.

Our lights are innovative, yes other companies do create lights that can be used during power cuts. But we are using discarded tins and cans to fight pollution. It is unique and authentic.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
Chargeable light companies, but my light is not ordinary. It is made with discarded tins and cans, things that are affecting our planet. These lights are solar chargeable, lust long and fight pollution.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes, as a member of the goodwall. I join challenges that fight climate change, empower women and promote good mental health.
