insectup aims in transforming the current agriculture to more sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture for the future development using Black soldier fly larvae,

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

insectup aims in transforming the current agriculture to more sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture for the future development using Black soldier fly. Our core goal is to make to improve the larva ingredient and produce super fly who will be used to increase the quality of agricultural products Black soldier fly larvae, uses a good stream of organic waste, such as food and fruit waste from different sources such as residential, hotel & restaurants and uses them to feed the larvae, which after every 18 to 20 days the larvae turn to a high protein insect (more than 45%), and the waste is converted to a rich nutritious organic fertilizer with high NPK and micronutrients essential for plant boosted growth.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

1.Agricultural low productivity and high feed cost-The available chicken and fish feed cost, more than 70% cost of production in poultry farm, where the feed has also low quality problems, breading underweight chickens and fish, which is a draw back to farmers , especially the small scale poultry and fish farmers. we aimed in providing sufficient quality animal pro feed to these farmers, at affordable prices 30% less than the available costs, training farmers and supply with onsite engineering solution. 2.Waste and sludge problems and sustainable protein availability. Waste mismanagement in the streets and landfill increase the methane and carbon dioxide emission along with other gases which impacts the global climate, by increasing green house emissions , which lead to high temperature increase . Insectup aims to solve waste problem by providing insect technology to minimize the emissions.

Replacing its with black soldier fly which has more protein content than soya , will reduce the problem

we develop more the insect to be more reliable for feed , we make sure its nutrition is of various important nutrients to animals and birds, we also found a new way to enhance our organic fertilizer performance to compact both fertility problems and pest diseases

Main competitors are , Waste protein tech, biobuu , Chanzi, Agrilife Our startup will aims to develop the insect its self apart from farming we bio engineer the insect to be of more nutrition and produce pro fly, which will increase the quality of insect and quantity , expect to have super larvae, where small quantity of its will solve variety of nutrition challenges. Apart from that we are different from all similar startup as we use our environmental engineering skills to produce designs which will be affordable to farmers
