Agki Medical Laboratory is committed to ensuring accessibility and affordability of quality healthcare services for low and middle income communities including pregnant women, children under five and patients with Permanet disabilities.We designed a platform and APP that operates both online and offline to connect and monitor patients anywhere, any time to nearby registered hospitals, Health Centre, Polyclinics, Pharmacy, Medical Lab, Doctors specialists, qualified doctors and nurses from the street for emergency/first aid, amelioration diagnosis, medications and treatment. This offers a faster, reliable and on-time health service, reducing time and cost to patients and deaths possibly due to late attendance . 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Currently, half the world lacks access to comprehensive health services, so this causes 100 million people to be pushed into extreme poverty each year. Every year 6 million people die in developing countries due to a lack of access to quality healthcare services. Access to health services in Tanzania is low and inadequate especially in rural areas. A Half of the population remains below the income poverty line of $1.90 per day. Hence people face financial hardship due to out-of-pocket health care costs. And Under-resourced communities are often disproportionately affected and experience systematically worse health outcomes.(WHO 2O21)

: Agnes Kimweri - is the CEO and Founder of Agki Medical Laboratory. She is currently based in Tanzania and has qualifications as a lab technologist, 8 years of previous experience in medical services and two years as a volunteer in the National Blood Bank and Nyota ya Bahari Health Centre from 2015 up to 2018. At Agki Medical Laboratory she works as a general director. Her talent, passion and contribution to the community on good health and well-being and gender led her to receive National and International innovation awards like Sankalp Award 2023, Uwezo Tanzania organized in collaboration with Unleashed Africa and Follow ‘Her 2022, UNFPA climate hack lab Challenge organized by Afri lab from south Africa 2021, Hindsight 2022 and AFD program for women 2023. Dr. Atieno Regina Oyugi is a Co-founder of Agki Medical Laboratory specialist in hematology and has 15 years of working experience in healthcare service

Agki designed a Platform and APP that operate both online and offline to monitor and connect patients to nearby registered hospitals, health centres, polyclinics, pharmacies, medical labs, doctor specialists, qualified doctors and nurses from the street for emergency/first aid, amelioration diagnosis, medications and treatment. This offers a faster, reliable and on-time health service hence reducing time and cost to patients and possible due to late attendance.
