01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
AFYA YA MNYAMA DIGITAL LIMITED is an Agritech, focused on revolutionizing livestock management with our product, MNYAMA CHECK platform. This innovative platform utilizes sensor technology, data analytics, and mobile and computer connectivity to provide farmers with real-time data and actionable information for optimizing their livestock operations. MNYAMA CHECK addresses key challenges faced by livestock farmers, including health monitoring, reproduction management, feeding practices, and location tracking. The platform integrates sensors that continuously monitor vital signs and behavior patterns of livestock, enabling early detection of health issues and timely intervention. Farmers can access these through MNYAMA CHECK a user-friendly mobile app or web interface, allowing for informed decision-making and proactive management of their herds. Our goal is to empower farmers, both small-scale and large-scale, with the tools they need to enhance productivity and improve animal welfare.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we are addressing with MNYAMA CHECK is the challenges faced by livestock farmers in managing their herds effectively where over 80% of Tanzania livestock farmers face. Farmers often struggle with timely health monitoring such as early animal diseases diagnosis due to limited infrastructure for veterinary laboratories leading to over 250.8 billions Tanzania used for animal disease intervention annually country wise, reproductive management, and optimal feeding practices, leading to decreased productivity, increased costs, and animal mortality MNYAMA CHECK aims to empower farmers with real-time monitoring and actionable insights to overcome these challenges and promote sustainable and efficient livestock management.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
The benefits of our MNYAMA CHECK platform are as follows: Improved Livestock Health: Farmers can monitor vital signs and behavior patterns in real-time, enabling early detection of health issues and timely intervention. This results in healthier animals and reduced disease risks. Improved Decision-Making: Access to actionable insights and alerts through a user-friendly interface empowers farmers to make informed decisions and optimize their farming practices Increased Productivity and Efficiency: By optimizing feeding practices based on data-driven insights, farmers can maximize feed efficiency, minimize wastage, and improve overall herd productivity.
