My project is a potassium rich table salt that will help reduce High Blood Pressure in patients and prevent non-patients from having it.

My project is a Potassium rich iodated salt. This project is to introduce a healthier table salt that balances sodium intake with the aim of reducing the high mortality rate in our society caused by High Blood Pressure or Hypertension and Cardiac arrests, and also introduce electrolyte (potassium) in the bodies for proper muscle coordination and function.

To reduce High morality rate and poor health conditions associated with High Blood Pressure, Cardiac Arrest etc.

1. Blood Pressure Management: Potassium helps lower blood pressure by balancing out the effects of sodium and reducing fluid retention. 2. Heart Health: Potassium's ability to lower blood pressure and reduce fluid retention reduces the risk of heart disease, strokes, and cardiac arrhythmias. 3. Muscle Relaxation: Potassium helps relax muscles, reducing muscle cramps, spasms, and fatigue. 4. Nerve Function: Potassium aids in nerve transmission, supporting healthy nerve function and communication. 6. Reduced Sodium Intake: Potassium-enriched salt offers a lower-sodium alternative, supporting a healthier diet.

My product supports life by maintaining good health and reduces mortality. Children whose parents have Hypertension and cardiac issues are kept alive to continue providing for them. Hypertension is amongst the top sicknesses that is responsible for admitting many people into hospitals and the high cost of health makes these people and their families become poor easily and very fast. My project will also provide employment for many others.

05.08 Justification

So far the only variant of my product is iodated salt which only seems to solve the problem of prevention of goitre and increase brain development in children. And my product enriches iodated salt with potassium that helps combat Sodium intake leading to hypertension, cardiac arrest, and helps in muscle coordination.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

So far I am yet to see a product like mind in the country, the only variant is iodated salt, my product is relatively new although it is just salt, I will like to think there are no competitors. With intense education and media advertisement, it will do very well.
