Describe your project or startup in a few words
Our inner city transportation system, Breeze Buses, aims to provide efficient, comfortable, and affordable transportation solutions for residents and visitors in densely populated urban areas in Ghana and West Africa.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Our inner city transportation system, Breeze Buses, aims to provide efficient, comfortable, and affordable transportation solutions for residents and visitors in densely populated urban areas in Ghana and West Africa. We recognize the increasing need for reliable, affordable and comfortable transportation options in cities, where traffic congestion, limited parking spaces, and environmental concerns are prevalent. Breeze Buses will offer Biodiesel and Biofuels vehicles and through a user-friendly mobile application, to facilitate seamless and convenient travel experiences. The Breeze Buses inner city transportation system looks to be a key player in the current transport landscape in Ghana and West Africa which is a growing sector that is yet to be properly tapped into and predominately operated on small individual basis. Breeze Buses inner city transportation system looks to properly formalize this sector and connect people to places effectively, securely and comfortably.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The population of urban cities in Ghana and West Africa is expected to rise exponentially in the coming years and with it many issues, one of which being pollution. Therefore one of the main challenges Breeze Buses inner city transportation system seeks to address is the problem of pollution caused by too many vehicles in our urban cities by providing comfortable and fuel efficient bus options to the populace to connect them to where they are going safely and securely. Again another problem that our transportation system would be addressing in the sanitation challenges of urban cities. Since our buses would be run on biodiesel and biofuels which are sourced mainly from waste, this will help address the issue of sanitation and promote a more circular economy. Lastly, with the current transportation landscape road safety is not assured leading to loss of lives through road traffic accidents, as such our system would be a safer option to guard against the loss of lives.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Breeze Buses inner city transportation system seeks to provide many benefits if implemented. To begin with if our system is implemented one major benefit is that it is high income generator for partners and investors. As earlier highlighted, the population in Ghana and other West African countries is ever increasing especially in urban areas, and the need for people to connect to their locations will never end. Again the current competition and landscape are not equipped to handle the large population explosion we are going to experience hence now the time to develop this transport system to help shape the future we want to see. Furthermore, the system will operate a 24-hour shift driving system, and this will provide the benefit of increased employment opportunities for drivers, fleet managers, etc., thereby improving on quality of life. Lastly, another benefit of our system is promoting a sustainable environment through the use of biofuel vehicles that cause little to no pollution.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
The Breeze Buses inner city transportation system seeks to serve the ever growing population of commuters and help connect people to place. Breeze Buses seeks to connect commuters mainly in urban cities of Ghana and West Africa to their location and doing so in the comfort and safe of our fuel efficient buses. Our commuters we wish to serve we classify into three main groups. Namely the group we call the No-Vehicles group. These are a group of commuters we classify as not owning a vehicle of their own and use existing public transportation. The second group of commuters we are targeting are those we refer to as Pro-Vehicles. This group of commuters own vehicles and drive to their various locations however they are tired of the challenges of traffic jams, increasing fuel prices and cost of maintaining their vehicles. Lastly the third group we refer to as the Corporate is made of tourists, corporate workers who carpool or join corporate buses, and the environmentally conscious.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
Fortunately there are very few large scale urban transportation systems running in Ghana. Our competitors are mainly small scaled transport systems popularly known in Ghana as "Trotro" and what makes our transportation system stand out is the fact that we would be offering cost competitive, comfortable and safe transportation to our commuters.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
I am a member of a Rotary club in Ghana and help participate in activities of my club in areas of career counseling to young girls.
