Describe your project or startup in a few words

My project aims to secure raw food materials from our local farmers in the most rural areas of Ghana, securing a warehouse for modern stage and processing to extend shelf life of this items while keeping it natural as best as possible.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

It is estimated that between 20% and 50% of crops harvested annually go waste. This is due to poor food storage, poor harvesting practices. Raw food produce purchased directly from farms will be sorted, processed and stored to minimize post harvest losses, mitigate poverty in our rural areas by practicing fair purchasing practices, creating employment, generating revenue and providing support to local farmers and traders. My project aims at creating efficient supply chain from farm to final consumer both internally and continental. Through this project, I aim to establish adequate food supply all year round by practicing food preservation mechanisms in abundant food seasons and supplying them when their out of season. With this approach, there'll always be an available market for farm products and a fair economic value for our farmers and their products. This projects aims at becoming one of Africa's largest food supply hubs which will help eliminate hunger and deprivation in Africa.

Reducing post harvest losses which will in turn affect the total availability and supply of food for all. Provide employment for the youth and as improve the general standards of living. Preserve our local food market and reduce over importation of basic food materials. Initiate a fair campaign on the importance of Youth in agriculture.
