Using advanced technology, we predict and ensure water safety by analyzing key factors such as pH levels, oxygen content, and contaminants. This data is integrated into an intuitive web application, providing real-time water quality information and alerts. Our solution helps reduce waterborne diseases and fosters sustainable water management practices, ensuring consistent access to safe water. By empowering communities with vital information, we promote healthier lives and protect natural resources, contributing to global clean water goals by 2030. 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we are addressing is poor water quality in rural communities, which poses significant risks to public health and the environment. Many rural areas have polluted water sources, leading to waterborne diseases and negatively impacting ecosystems. The lack of reliable, real-time information on water quality exacerbates these issues, as communities are often unaware of contamination until it has already caused harm. Our project aims to provide an advanced, technology-driven solution that monitors and predicts water quality, empowering communities with essential data to ensure safe and sustainable water management. By addressing these challenges, we aim to reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases, protect natural resources, and contribute to global efforts to achieve clean water access by 2030.

Our project is aimed at serving rural communities that suffer from poor water quality and lack reliable access to safe drinking water. The targeted beneficiaries include: 1. Residents of Rural Areas: Individuals and families in rural communities who rely on local water sources for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. Improved water quality directly benefits their health and well-being. 2. Local Health Organizations: Health workers and organizations that monitor and address public health issues related to waterborne diseases. Our solution provides them with critical data to prevent and manage health crises. 3. Esther Aboagyewaa Abankwa is currently an Applications and Software Engineer at Huawei Technologies Ghana where she provides software solutions to partners and manages software systems daily. She has a professional certification in AI and envisions a world where she provides AI solutions to tackle real-world problems. She has actively participated as a speaker and coach at multiple events, and loves to inspire others to pursue their desired paths in tech. She loves to read and write music. Martha Esinam Kekele Demanya is a Project Solutions Engineer at BroadSpectrum with a background in computer science. She is passionate about leveraging AI/ML to solve real-world problems, innovation and making a meaningful impact. She enjoys working with like-minded individuals to create solutions that drive positive change. In her free time, she loves staying updated on tech trends, volunteering at industry events, and engaging in activities that foster knowledge sharing.

Our envisioned product and service represents a significant advancement over traditional offerings in several key ways. Although we draw inspiration from existing concepts, our innovation lies in enhancing functionality, efficiency, and sustainability to meet modern needs and challenges. Our version incorporates state-of-the-art technology that improves performance metrics such as speed, accuracy, and reliability. By leveraging advancements in materials science and engineering, we achieve higher durability and reduced maintenance requirements, setting a new standard in product longevity.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
Currently, in Ghana, we would be first to birth this solution. However in the global sphere, aqua troll 500 multiparameter sonde is a potential competitor. Our application unlike theirs, has a multicolor code indication to alert users who are unable to read text of the water quality from poor to good to excellent. Our device is miniature and hence more portable. We envision providing training of community members on how to use the device. Also, with our AI feature we are able to study the trends and know what a possible outbreak could be and prepare towards it. Community members who use our app are able to determine the composition of water and the correct treatment method used to ensure safety.

As a team of female entrepreneurs driving innovation, we actively promote the role of women in entrepreneurship within our community.
