My project is a story-based comic book that seeks to educate young girls about reproductive health, create awareness about the harmful effects of early child marriage, and empower them to make informed decisions.

I'm working on a captivating comic book that utilizes engaging storytelling to provide comprehensive education and empowerment for young girls on reproductive health. Furthermore, the comic book raises awareness about the far-reaching consequences of early child marriage to inspire thoughtful and well-informed decision-making.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The primary objective of my proposed idea or solution is to tackle a significant challenge: improving the retention rates of young girls in school, with a special focus on those living in rural areas. This issue encompasses not only ensuring that girls have access to education but also that they remain engaged and continue their schooling. Various factors contribute to the dropout rates among these young girls, including socio-economic barriers, cultural attitudes towards female education, and the lack of accessible educational facilities. My solution aims to address these challenges comprehensively, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to pursue her education without hindrance..

My product delivers a wide range of benefits. Firstly, it plays a crucial role in spreading awareness about the harmful consequences of early child marriage, shedding light on the physical, emotional, and social challenges that young girls face. Moreover, it empowers girls by providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions about their lives and their future. Additionally, it actively contributes to ensuring girls' access to education by addressing barriers and promoting school attendance. My product aims to create a more equitable and promising future for young girls by addressing these critical issues.

Dikan Center serves as Africa’s home for stories, culture, community, and learning. We carefully designed the building to align with the needs and lifestyle of the African people. The structure includes a library, courtyard, studios, theater, gallery, events space, outdoor exhibition yard, archival rooms, classrooms, center for kids and teens, media center, and offices. It will be located in Accra, Ghana
