01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
At Elite Premier Farms, we aim to address the critical issues of low effectiveness and efficiency in farm operations, which consequently lead to the production of poor-quality produce, as well as the general misconception that agriculture is unattractive, especially for women. In Africa, agricultural systems predominantly rely on traditional farming methods, resulting in inefficiencies and substandard produce. This outdated approach has rendered agriculture unappealing and unprofitable to the majority of the youth, particularly women. Our mission at Elite Premier Farms is to transform these traditional practices by integrating advanced technologies and sustainable methods to optimize farm operations and enhance produce quality. By doing so, we strive to make agriculture a more attractive and viable career option for the younger generation, with a special focus on empowering women. Our goal is to create a more efficient, productive, and inclusive agricultural sector in Africa.

Our project at Elite Premier Farms is aimed at serving a diverse group of beneficiaries. Primarily, we target local farmers, particularly women and the youth, by providing them with the training and resources needed to adopt modern, sustainable farming techniques. This empowerment helps them to improve their livelihoods and economic stability. Additionally, we aim to benefit consumers by offering high-quality, nutritious vegetables grown through advanced, environmentally-friendly methods. By ensuring the production of superior produce, we cater to health-conscious individuals and families. Furthermore, our project serves the broader community by promoting environmental sustainability and reducing carbon footprints, contributing to the overall well-being and development of the region.

Faustina Hlili graduated from the University for Development Studies with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Technology and holds a Customer Service certificate from City and Guilds (UK). With extensive administrative experience, she excels in office management, project coordination, and fostering organizational efficiency. Her strengths lie in communication, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving, supported by technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. David Nii Laryea is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur with expertise in finance, operations, and strategic planning. He graduated from Regent University with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Information Systems and holds an ACCA Diploma. David has a robust background from roles at SSNIT, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Electricity Company of Ghana. Fluent in English and French, he leverages his leadership acumen and market insights to drive business growth and maximize investor returns.

In as much as we serve as a means of employment, we also build the capacity of those who are already having farming businesses to increase their production capacity. This also increases their capacity to employ the unemployed and collectively, we are able to increase government revenue which will ultimately enable them to start and complete projects for the development of the country and consequently increase the GDP of the country. Agriculture is also a multi-disciplinary career. Which means that as we include technology and innovations, we will be needing the services of engineers and journalists among many others. Making it possible for the inclusion of a wide variety of disciplines.
