House of H SPA is a business centered around care of the skin, beauty, adaptability and aesthetics. We offer services such as hair cut services , braiding , massage therapy including physiotherapy etc . We also sell and recommend skin care products .

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

House of H spa is a small business located in Buea Cameroon , specifically at Molyko. Aiming at giving youths and the rest of society good services such as braiding , hair cuts, facials , manicure and pedicure to enable them to look presentable, massage therapy to easily help conditions such as sprains , aching body and many more physiological issues in relatively affordable prices . We have a wide range of services which enables us to work with other youths in order to increase our work force thus increasing employment rate in the society . We also organize training sessions time and again to help other youths learn a skill which will help them make money for themselves now or in the nearest future. We sell a reasonable range of skin care products and deodorants at affordable rates . -We also use this start up as a platform to empower women by teaching them a skill especially as more or women find interest in most of the beauty and aesthetic services we offer .

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

-I lack enough space to carry out our activities properly. For the many services we offer , we have such a small space . It doesn’t enable us to work easily - Lack of the required machines that will help our work life and make our services more effective . - I have limited equipment, more equipment will help facilitate the work generally and the shorten longitivity of the service . -I lack the means to employ qualified staff for proper marketing to help expand our customer base in order for us to get our returns . - I lack contacts of suppliers that can provide us with some products we will like to include in our batch of products that we sell. - I lack opportunities to study more about the human skin in order to expand my knowledge on the skin and it will help us provide a better service to customers .

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

-I am able to analyze and figure out skin problems because I studied medical laboratory technology and have done several courses on cosmetology . I am also currently doing an online curse in dermatology .Thus I am able to analyze skin problems and and recommend products for the skin. -We offer services such as hair cut and braiding services that help people look more presentable at affordable prices . -We offer massage therapy that assists people suffering from issues like back pain , sprains , stiff neck and many more . - we sell skin care products that help people solve skin problems therefore enabling them to feel more comfortable amongst their peers and colleagues . -We offer deep cleansing facials that enable us to follow up on people who suffer from Acne Vulgaris. To help them treat it so that they can build their confidence. - we sell body sprays and deodorants that help people smell good in order to improve their personal hygiene .

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My start up arms at serving ; - People with skin problems such as Acne vulgaris and more -People with back and body aches and minor sprains or injuries maybe because of the type of work they do . - Youths or any other set of individuals that may want to look good on a fair price without breaking their banks . -youths who want to learn skills especially women as most of our services draw the interest or women more . -Older people because they mostly suffer from swollen feet and other complications to give them massage therapy that balances their body. -People who generally take their personal hygiene very seriously.

We also sanitize our hands before working on clients as the services we offer are centered around personal hygiene . - we also provide our clients with clean drinkable water from the best source in the country to enable them enjoy their services without risk or getting diarrhea or other water related diseases and helps them stay hydrated . - My start up makes sure we source for good water that we use to carry out our services. That is why we have an underground aquifer that we clean every end of month and make sure to purify with the right amount or chlorine to ensure we don’t use bacteria infected water on client’s skin .

-My start up is geared at providing the best of every already existing service in the community because we find ways to improve them so that our clients can best enjoy their services with us and that way we can stand out. -My start up tirelessly introduces new services in order to improve our customers experience with us.

-My main competitors are other beauty spas( usually bigger than mine )located in the same town and even neighboring towns . - what makes me stand out of them is the amount of time I spend on listening to my customers and making sure they are happy and satisfied . • I also stand out because I have background knowledge of the skin from my degree program and all the courses and Diplomas I’ve been getting online . Has helped me get more insight and help my customers in the most professional manner . •our customer service is also very good . My staff are polite and friendly and good at everything they do too . This has helped us to keep our customers .

Yes!! -out of 6 employees that I have , 4 are women. -I organize training programs and workshops for women from time to time .
