Describe your project or startup in a few words

Krispy Delights is an agric product made plantain chips made from plantains grown in Cameroon made in different flavours; chicken, soya, ginger, garlic, pepper spices and air dried to reduce the rate of cholesterol.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Growing up there was a certain snack I stole my mom's money to purchase because of its taste, cost and packaging, it was imported from Nigeria called (SNAPPY) and later on it left the market. My startup is in the production and packaging of plantain chips in different flavors, spices and sizes to suit and shape every occasion. So far, the marketing and packaging of home-based snacks is something majority of Cameroonians are still trying to learn and practice. If i become successful, i will venture into the manufacturing and production of other Cameroonian made snacks.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I am trying to solve the problem of dirtiness and improper presentation of snack foods which can easily lead to unforeseen illnesses and also creating awareness in a different sector of packaging products generally.

1. You can watch your sugar and cholesterol level while still consuming snacks. 2. You can be confident about the production process due to our high level and awareness of sanitation. 3. You will get the best snack at the most affordable price for everyone and with a reasonable quantity in every bag of chips.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My target market or the people i am aiming to serve range from pupils in primary schools to the retired and working-class ages. Plantain chips is a necessary household, office and school snack needed for all occasions as it can complement everything.

As it is a startup and we're all bearing cost, we have decided to share the entity's activities. One partner is in charge of purchasing the raw material and transforming it to its finished product meanwhile the other partner is in charge of the marketing and sales of the product.

We plan on recruiting permanent staff to work with us to alleviate their financial status. As at now we hire temporal staffs to help out as we cannot pay for a full-time staff. Also, this project or idea came as a result of non-affordability of school fees for the starters and they started this to raise profits to finance their education.

My competitors are Ndjoka Chips, Apera chips, seka chips, kelon chips. what makes me stand out is they have not ventured into the various flavors i am venturing into.

Yes. Of recent i participated in the first AWE event in Cameroon and since then i've been trying to become a better girl others look up to as their model in the world of business and entrepreneurship. As at now i coach and promote girls to get into the world of business irrespective of the idea or product at hand.
