SolaviseTech is dedicated to bridging the IT skills gap in Cameroon by offering affordable, high-quality training in Cloud Computing, Data Science and Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. Our project addresses critical issues such as high training costs, limited access to laptops and internet, and gender inequality in IT education. We partner with industry leaders like Huawei, Cisco, and AWS, to provide students with real-world learning experiences and personalized training from the best experts. Our innovative approach ensures comprehensive, inclusive and excellent employability for our graduates, with job placements secured through our extensive network. Aligning with Sustainable Development Goals on quality education, decent work, economic growth and gender equality, we make a significant impact on the future of tech education in Cameroon.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we aim to solve is the significant IT skills gap in Cameroon, which hinders economic growth and development. High training costs, lack of access to essential resources like laptops and reliable internet, and gender inequality in IT education are major barriers. Many aspiring IT professionals cannot afford quality training, limiting their career opportunities. Additionally, women are underrepresented in tech fields due to societal and economic constraints. Our project seeks to make high-quality IT training accessible and affordable for all, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their financial background or gender, can acquire in-demand skills in Cloud Computing, Data Science and Machine Learning. By providing real-world learning experiences and personalized training through partnerships with industry leaders, we aim to enhance employability through certifications to validate their skills and knowledge and secure internships and job placements for our graduates.

1. Accessible and Affordable Training: SolaviseTech provides high-quality IT training in Cloud Computing, Data Science and Machine Learning, at a comparatively cheaper cost. By offering affordable courses and merit-based scholarships, we empower aspiring professionals, including those from low-income backgrounds, to access world-class education and enhance their career prospects. 2. Innovativeness: Our training programs are designed with a practical, hands-on approach, ensuring students gain real-world experience. We collaborate with industry giants like Huawei, Cisco, and AWS, giving students access to the latest technologies and practices. 3. Promoting SDGs: We actively work to close the gender gap (SDG 5) in IT education by encouraging and supporting women to pursue tech careers. We offer mentorship and career guidance particularly for women and have successfully trained 20 women with high quality tech skills. Over 40 students are now employed with decent salaries (SDG 8).

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

1. Young Aspiring IT Professionals: Individuals between the ages of 18-35 who are eager to acquire in-demand tech skills but are hindered by high training costs and lack of resources. 2. Women : We focus on reducing gender inequality by encouraging and supporting women to pursue careers in IT, providing them with the necessary skills and mentorship to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated field. 3. Low-Income Individuals: People from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who cannot afford expensive training programs but have the potential and desire to excel in the IT industry. 4. Unemployed Graduates: Recent graduates struggling to find employment due to a lack of practical skills and relevant industry certifications. 5. Career Changers: Professionals from other fields looking to transition into the tech industry, seeking comprehensive training and certification to facilitate this shift.

Dr. Tembu Kizito brings over 12 years of business experience as Co-Founder of Solavise Technologies Institute, leading initiatives to empower individuals through technology. He brings in strategic planning, client relation, market research, financial planning to ensure SolaviseTech survives turbulence in the competitive cloud ecosystem. He also serves as the Technical Advisor of RainBow Nutraceuticals and Phytomedicine in Cameroon, driving the company’s growth. Passionate about building companies from the ground up, Dr. Tembu founded RossyBright Health Services in the USA in 2016, where he is the CEO. As Vice President of RossyBright Care Foundation (ROCAF), a Christian-based non-profit, Dr. Tembu addresses the economic, physical, social, medical, and spiritual needs of those in extreme poverty. ROCAF's vision is driven by a love for God and a commitment to care for those in need.

SolaviseTech organizes career fairs, mentorship programs, interview tips and coaching for its graduates which leads to tech job acquisition with decent incomes to reduce poverty. We aim to achieve no poverty by 2040 for any SolaviseTech graduate. 06.08 Justification for my startup

The demand for cloud computing, DevOps, and Data Science and Machine Learning skills is on the rise globally, including in our region. Many individuals and businesses already utilize various training programs and online courses to acquire these skills. However, these existing options often fall short in several critical areas, such as practical, hands-on experience, personalized learning paths, and ongoing support for learners. Our product/service, which offers tailored, real-world training experiences, directly addresses these gaps. By integrating comprehensive practical exercises, live projects, and continuous mentorship, we provide a level of training that far surpasses what is currently available. While there are numerous training programs available, very few focus on the inclusion of underrepresented groups, particularly women. Our product/service is designed with a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity, offering scholarships and creating a supportive community for women in tech

Recognizing the significant gender disparity in the field, we have launched several initiatives aimed at encouraging and supporting women to pursue careers in cloud computing, data science, and machine learning by offering them merit-based scholarships that will equip them with the skills to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams within the tech ecosystem.
