We are doctors of medicine non profit organization. We conduct tutorials and produce educational videos on You tube and ticktock for medical students

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

We are a group of medical students who are currently in their 2-year of study at the university of Zimbabwe. Doctors of medicine is an organization that we started in January 2024. It was inspired by altruism and the hope of one day making the world a better place. We saw that this however doesn’t just happen on its own and requires hard work and a lot money. With that in mind as medical students we sought a way of somehow generating income while also not neglecting our studies. We decided to open social media accounts (You tube) were will be creating anatomy and physiology tutorials for current and future medical students. This is in hope of one day monetizing our accounts and generate money from subscriptions. We are also conducting quizzes and tutorial seasons for first year and second year student alike. This venture which was initially to make money has turned out to be a platform that is helping medical students in their studies and creating a platform for personal growth

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we are trying to solve is in the health sector. In our home country (Zimbabwe) there are a lot of challenges in the health sector. From poor medical infrastructures to underdevelopment of medical schools. The pricing of the medication is insanely high, and the majority cannot afford proper medical attention. Moreover, there is also the challenge of poor healthcare facilities and under staffing in our local government hospitals. As Doctor of Medicine org, we want to end this. We know that it requires a lot of money and planning, but we are determined to acchive this goal. We are currently raising money and awareness by our organization of medical students. We have a You tube channel, instagram page and ticktock accounts where we post educational videos in hopes of turning our viewership and subscriptions into money. We also do live tutorial seasons with first year and second year medical students and sell stationary.

We have easy to understand and well detailed explanations of Anatomy and physiology from one of the best medical students at the University of Zimbabwe. We also share exam tips and tricks to use for medical students studying anatomy and physiology They are easily accessible for free online We also provide free tutorial season to help medical students in their studies We also have custom made pens and sticky notes at affordable pricing to help you study smarter

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Our target beneficiary are primarily medical students but our content can be used by any one studying anatomy and physiology. This can be used for educational purposes or fun interest

We are a group of 12 medical students now in our second year of study at the university of Zimbabwe. The following are some of the skills set and experiences to name a few Ngonidzaishe Zimbwa – Great explainer and the leader of a Christiaon youth group called youth ministers Harmony Sithole - Excellent public speaker, has teaching experience Micaiah Chibaya - Good with technology, editing and narrations Mitchell Mandeya - Excellent narrator and strong interpersonal skills Benedict Jonga - creative and great dexterity Abigail Chiwara - Numerical genius, great listener Sandra Mutowa- Memory wizard and Pays attention to detail Tafara Jiya - Great explainer and spatial reasoning KelvinMinga – Excellent with words and can simplify anything Engnas Chiremba - Intuitive and has high precision David Charuma- Fast thinker and innovative Anotida Kachepa – logical and good at analysis. He is also the founder and president of Doctor of Medicine.

We aim to use the money we get from our social media accounts and projects to help the sick, homeless and poor. As we said above, we are a non-profit organization operating at university level. In the coming days we will be conducting outreach programs giving food to street kids in our Capital city town in Zimbabwe Harare. We will also be visiting children’s homes and hospitals for a starter. We don’t have money at the moment to build orphanage centres and hospitals but we will still impact the world one step at a time. We will reach these goals one day

Growing up from a poor background of struggle and trying to meet up with ends meet we understand how hunger is like and we are not for it. We plan to increase employment in our home country by industrialization and farming. We plan to establish pharmacies, Hospitals and medical schools. As we said above, we are a non-profit whose goal is to make this world a better place. As medical students we understand the significance of good health. As an organization we believe that for there to be good health there must be fully trained medical professions. We are establishing this by our tutorials and medical videos ensuring that no medical student is left behind. We also provide awareness programs especially on mental health. Which has stigma and little understanding in our country. As we grow and increase in monetization, we are going to be doing greater work.

Our social media accounts are proof that people are appreciating our service. Our services are unique in that this content is made by medical students for medical students. We understand the shoes of how medical school is hard since we are also medical students. We currently have 302 Subscribers and 11k views on YouTube. We are going to introduce a new way of learning medicine starting first at our university.
