Robin gas is A trusted energy company committed to serve communities with LPG (clean energy) which is safer and affordable. Registered under the Zimbabwean Laws in October 2021. Baked by well trained personnel and it's licensed operations.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Robin gas and Accessories is a startup company founded by Mr Clive Ngandu in October 2021. It's a company based in LP Gas retailing for small and medium scale gas user. It started with one gas stations with 4x 48Kgs in Eastview, Ruwa. It's licensed operations and well trained personnel has allowed a smooth growth of the organization and now has 7 operating site and 11 employees. We order LP Gas from local companies like Quality and NOIC gas at wholesale price and we resell to small and medium users at a retail price while being guided by ZERA prices. Our relationship with these Giants of the industry has promoted our growth well as we get Gas at discounted prices which allow us the have best prices in the market.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Due to increasing competition and growth of the company we are facing shortage of standard equipment (which includes smith pumps , generators and Cylinders) and lack of our own transport to uses when ordering our product from suppliers. When we order gas from our suppliers we hire trucks to carry our cylinders to and from suppliers and transportation of these cylinders is a bit expensive as compared to if we had our own transport. Sometimes our sites run dry of product as these truck will sometime take long to come back with our tanks as they will be carrying for many people. We don't have enough cylinders and we sometimes borrow them from our suppliers and we pay rental. Once a supplier gave us their cylinder they will forbid us to order gas from other suppliers and most of the times they give us their cylinders they will not give discounted price like when we use own own cylinders hence our profit will be small

Advantages of getting gas from Robin gas is that you will get more than what you paid for as you will not only get gas but also knowledge on safe use and handling of it. Our well trained personnel also help customers with general cylinder mantainance and repairs for free to customers. We offer the best prices as we get our product on discounted prices most of the time. We use standardized equipment which is fast and accurate designed specifically for gas stations.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Our target market is domestic gas users and small scale users. We are committed to serve small scale gas users who can not afford to get it in bulk. Most of the suppliers do not accommodate domestic and small scale gas users hence Robin gas ventured to cover the gape and supply small scale users that are not accommodated by suppliers. We refill to a minimum of 1kg to a maximum of 500kg hence our target are most the end users of gas whether it's for domestic or commercial use.

We are creating employment for many people within our operating areas. Currently the company has 4 female employees and 7 males hence we are creating more employment in communities. The growth of the organization is reducing unemployment rate and it's employees are well catered for.
