01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Migsens is developing an intelligent system based on nanomaterials for monitoring air quality both indoors and outdoors. This solution utilizes advanced embedded multiplexing nanosensors to detect and identify volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and gases such as CO2, NOx, and methane. The system ensures real-time, sensitive, and selective analysis of pollutants, meeting international standards. It incorporates a network of embedded nanosensors with thin layers like metal oxide and carbon nanotubes on interdigitated microelectrodes, capable of detecting multiple solvents in complex environments. The solution also integrates temperature, pressure, and humidity measurements. It supports sustainable development by mitigating health and environmental impacts of air pollution and enhancing energy efficiency.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem addressed by Migsens is the detection and identification of harmful pollutants in the air in real-time, which is essential for healthy living and the development of smart cities. Current detection systems are often bulky, expensive, and limited to specific settings. The existence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other industrial gases like CO2, NO2, and methane significantly impacts health, the environment, and on ozon layer. Conventional solutions are either too energy-comsuption or lack of the sensitivity and selectivity required for effective monitoring. Migsens aims to overcome these challenges with a low-cost, autonomous, low-energy comsuption, and highly efficient network of embedded multiplexing nanosensors with communication protocols (Lorawan, RF, WIFI,...) and graphic interfaces.

The solution is also aimed at medical analysis laboratories, poultry hangars, public spaces, and industries such as pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and aviation.
