Describe your project or startup in a few words
Defendis is a cybersecurity startup that taps into AI to help Government Agencies, Banks, and Businesses adopt a proactive approach and identify data breaches risks as soon as they appear.
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Defendis is a startup developing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions, enabling organisations to proactively neutralise cyberattacks. Our Threat Intelligence Platform is designed with an all-in-one approach to identify leaked credentials, payment card fraud, domain impersonation, and asset vulnerabilities. This enables Banks, Government agencies, and Businesses – especially those with limited resources and capabilities – to adapt to the threat landscape and prevent data breaches, financial damages, or any repetitional damages that might affect them.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Banks, government agencies, and businesses of all size are offering more of their services online to facilitate the life of the people they serve. However, for these online services to work, data sometimes containing personal information needs to be stored online. This creates a new problem for these organisations of how to keep this data that is online secure at all times and prevent any data breaches.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
By using Defendis, you are able to: - Detect cybersecurity risks that could lead to a data breach and neutralise them (e.g. detect the leaked password of an employee with admin access to the database and reset it before it's used by cybercriminals) - Understand what data got leaked in the event of a data breach in order to contain it swiftly (e.g. detect the leaked credit cards of customers and proceed to blocking them before they are used by cybercriminals) - Monitor discussions around your brand, detect impersonation attempts, and request takedowns directly from the app - Identify at-risk employees and executives with repeated credential leaks that are in need of extensive cybersecurity trainings - Identify and prioritise asset vulnerabilities that could lead to potential attacks from the hardware/software side.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Defendis is a B2B solution for banks, Government agencies, small businesses, and entreprises. By focusing on serving these organisations, we are helping protect millions of people they serve from losing access to their data and finances.

Threat Intelligence is fairly new and we are combining improved data gathering with AI-powered analysis to deliver organisations in-depth insights about breaches and their sources.
06.09 Competitive Analysis
We are competing against multinational corporations like Recorded Future, Searchlight Cyber, and Mandiant. All these solutions are complicated and require certified cybersecurity experts to manage them, that's not our case. What differentiate us is the simplicity of our app, we wanted to make sure that a simple IT manager or tech lead can quickly view and understand the risks
11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
