The project is to provide climate literacy to young folks. The project will expose them to knowledge about climate change and it's impact. This will prepare a generation of young people playing key roles in creating sustainable future for all.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

This startup is a green initiative. It's focus is on climate change, green skills and environmental protection. The mission is to integrate climate literacy and activism among young people. The startup vision is to train young people to make climate informed decisions and willing to mitigate climate impact with innovative and sustanable solutions. The objectives of the startup are as follows: * To ensure young people are informed and prepared to address climate challenges. * To leverage creativity and available resources to help humanity develop sustainable solutions to their needs. * To promote green jobs in all sectors by equipping young people with requisite green skills. * To facilitate youth stewardship towards restoring the environment. The strategies chosen to achieve these objectives include schools outreach, tree-planting and capacity building on green skills. The schools outreach will involve interactive sessions to gain knowledge about climate. Then trees will be planted.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem I am proposing to solve is climate change. This is an issue of global concern. Yet, it is a topic that is rarely talked about in our communities. It is a topic that is not taught in our schools. As a result, many know nothing about it. There is a knowledge deficiency in that area. There is also no effort to combat the impact of climate change.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

The benefits of my services include: Climate Literacy: through climate education the target audience will be empowered to gain comprehensive knowledge in environmental sustainabity in our communities Skills acquisition: Target audience will acquire leadership and green skills. They will be equipped with transferable skills and tools to lead and contribute to green initiatives. Environmental protection: the audience will be empowered to environmental stewards. They will become ambassadors for green initiatives. They will be lead advocates in combating climate change through tree-planting.

The targets beneficiaries are young people between 15-35 years. They include both male and female in school. The educational level of these beneficiaries is basic and high schools.

The project will promote decent work and economic growth. The has a component that will provide green skills capacity building to the working class. This will enable the working class promote green initiatives. Since every job can be green. They shall be charged to promote sustainabity in their work places through ideas.

Tree-planting is core component of this initiative. We have planted trees in some schools. There shall be more trees to be planted in the future. This is to ensure resilience in our communities and also rejuvenate our environment.

My main known potential competitor is Afri-Youth. We stand out from them. We leverage creativity in our operations. We employ creative talent such drama, poetry and visual art to disseminate climate messages. This is an innovation that place my initiative ahead of competitors.
