Prevenza offers preventive health services such as health education, First Aid, CPR, Basic Life Support training and health screenings, aiming to reach underserved areas. Our work supports SDGs 3, 4, and 10 by promoting health, education, and equality.

Prevenza is dedicated to improving health outcomes through preventive measures. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to maintain optimal health and prevent diseases. Our services include interactive workshops, medical screenings, educational campaigns, First AID and CPR training, focusing on underserved areas and young people with limited access to healthcare and quality health information. Prevenza’s efforts align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals: promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3), enhancing health literacy through quality education (SDG 4), and reducing inequalities (SDG 10). By joining the Startupper of the Year Challenge by TotalEnergies, we aim to expand our reach by leveraging technology and making a greater impact. Our vision is a healthier Ghana and Africa, where preventive health is accessible to all, minimizing preventable diseases and enabling everyone to live fulfilling lives.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem Prevenza is addressing is the high incidence of preventable diseases among the youth. Many individuals suffer from health conditions that could be avoided with early detection and lifestyle changes. Limited access to preventive healthcare services and a profound lack of quality health education have contributed to this problem, leading to preventable illness and death. By providing innovative health monitoring technology, personalized health insights, and comprehensive community health programs, Prevenza aims to empower people with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain optimal health, reduce disease prevalence, and improve overall well-being. Our efforts focus on promoting a proactive approach to health rather than a curative approach, ensuring that preventive measures are accessible to all.

Firstly, Prevenza through its Screener initiative focuses on early detection of health issues, enabling timely intervention to prevent diseases from escalating. Secondly, Prevenza provides personalized health advice and programs tailored to each user's unique profile. By offering customized recommendations, Prevenza helps users optimize their health and vitality. Thirdly, Prevenza is committed to community engagement through various initiatives such as health workshops, screenings, and educational campaigns. Prevenza's services are aimed at serving individuals and communities across various demographics, particularly those with limited access to healthcare and health education as well as young people between the ages of 14 to 35 years. Our targeted beneficiaries include individuals seeking proactive health management, marginalized populations in low-resource areas, and organizations interested in promoting preventive healthcare practices. By prioritizing preventive measures and empowering both individuals and communities, it is our goal to create a healthier future for all.

06.08 Justification for my startup

Prevenza's services are an improvement on preventive health services that the health care industry in the country is not looking at improving. We saw an opportunity to improve health outcomes and reduce hospitalizations and we took this shot. It has been a great decision so far and our works and achievements are there to show for it.

Our main potential competitors include other healthcare providers, non-profits, and startups focused on preventive health and community health education. These may include local clinics, international NGOs, and health tech companies.
