Gamkrib is a innovative solution to a perennial problem that plagues students in Ghana every year. The struggle to find suitable off-campus accommodation is a recurring theme on social media, particularly on Twitter. This challenge is further exacerbated by the fact that over 70% of the more than 500,000 students who gain admission to their dream university in Ghana are unable to secure on-campus accommodation. As a result, over 400,000 students are left to navigate the daunting task of finding off-campus options annually. This is where Gamkrib comes in - a cutting-edge online platform designed to make the search for off-campus accommodation easier, faster, and more affordable. With Gamkrib, students can conveniently browse, book, and pay for their preferred accommodations on their device, freeing up more time for their studies. By providing a seamless and hassle-free experience, Gamkrib alleviates the stress and financial burden that often accompanies the accommodation hunt
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we're tackling is the inefficient and often frustrating experience of searching, finding, and booking off-campus accommodation, which disproportionately affects students who are new to the area, international students, and those without access to reliable information. The lack of real-time data on available housing options near institutions, including pricing and room types, forces students to embark on a time-consuming and exhausting search, often requiring them to physically visit multiple properties under challenging conditions. This not only wastes valuable time and energy but also leads to unnecessary stress and financial burdens. By developing Gamkrib, we're committed to providing a solution that empowers students with the information they need to make informed decisions, streamlining the accommodation search and booking process, and ultimately enhancing their overall educational experience.

By leveraging technology to make the search for off-campus accommodation and its booking faster, easier, and less stressful, Gamkrib empowers students from all parts of the country or globe to choose institutions that align with their academic and professional aspirations. Gamkrib is an innovative solution that leverages technology to disrupt the traditional method of using real estate agents to find off-campus accommodations. Our solution is unique in Ghana and Africa, as no one currently uses technology to search, find, and book off-campus accommodations. We're not improving an existing product or service, but rather creating a new type of product that responds to a demand or need that has not been satisfied by other products or services. The huge demand for off-campus accommodations across Africa, where many tertiary institutions are unable to accommodate all their admitted students, drives our solution. By utilizing new technology, we're making the process of finding and booking off-campus accommodations faster, easier, and less stressful for students. Our solution is scalable, helpful, and addresses a significant need in the market, making it a valuable offering for students across Africa.

Most of my female friends tend to sell items on social media. Whenever I need such items, or even if I don't really need them for myself but as gifts for others, I purchase them from these friends to help their business grow and i also share their works and businesses on my social media platforms to get others to know about it.
