Techkaino is a Ghanaian Tech startup passionate about social impact. Our flagship project, FarmWatch, is a web-based dashboard that connects individuals directly to farm investments. It allows Ghanaians to sponsor crops, receive real-time updates on progress and sustainability practices, and see the broader social impact of their investment. FarmWatch promotes transparency, empowers communities, and encourages sustainable agriculture, contributing to UN SDGs like Zero Hunger and Climate Action.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

In Ghana's agricultural sector, two key problems exist: Lack of Transparency and Accessibility in Investment: Traditional investment models are often opaque, making it difficult for individuals to understand how their money is used and discouraging participation. This limits financial support for sustainable practices. Disconnection Between Consumers and Food Sources: Consumers have limited visibility into farming practices and the impact of their food choices. This hinders informed decision-making and a sense of community around food production. FarmWatch tackles both issues by: Offering real-time data on crop progress, fostering trust and informed investment decisions. Integrating functionalities to track sustainable practices, allowing consumers to align their investments with environmental goals. Providing data on the broader social impact of sponsorships, strengthening the connection between consumers and the communities they support by increasing transparency and engagement,
