The GEDD Project. GEDD is simply Gas Explosive Detective Device aimed at preventing excessive gas explosion. Gas explosion has Killed & destroyed people and properties over the years. The project seek to put an end to this canker in order to save lives.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Statistics from Ghana, Other parts of Africa and the world at large indicates that a lot of people died, injured with severe burns in our country and the world as a whole. The situation has increasingly become rampant which claimed lives especially our work force which holds the country’s economy on its toes. I have taught through it and decided to come up with something that will help and make sure through my small way I can assist in saving lives. I believe that when the project is fully on a large scale it will directly and indirectly employ over 1000 workers across the globe. The project is a capital intensive project and will need strong support and resources in order to enroll it fully . This where Total Energies comes in. The main aim of the project is save lives,Properties and also create decent for jobs for people as way of reducing the rapid unemployment rate in the country. The project also seek to contribute to the climate change propagation and energy efficiency. Etc..

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

As I stated earlier in the above detailed reasons, the project seeks to solve four main challenges which is confronting the my Country, Africa and the world at large. The three main challenges or problems are; Saving lives&Properties , Reducing & creating employment and lastly contributing towards climate change which is detrimental to the environment and sustainability of the planet earth and world at large. We also seek to make use energy effective and efficient and available to all manner of people regardless of their socioeconomic status. Most importantly it’s our responsibility to protect the environment, lives and properties. The issue of climate change is increasing on a large scale and if we did not find a solution to it the world cannot contained as all. The project also seek to educate people on the use of liquified Gas and its impact on the environment and the people including its economic benefits if used well. The main or major benefits of my project are enormous . The underneath stated are three out of a lot. I. Job creation and employment opportunities. II. Saving lives and Properties III. Sustainable environment and climate change. Etc.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The project is aimed at serving my community and country, Africa and the world at large. The targeted beneficiaries are households who use Gas, The various Gas Stations, and automobile companies that uses Gas for their business including Drivers. Etc.

We have a lot people who are unemployed and they being pushed to the poverty line day in and day out. The poverty level continues to increase so therefore; when the project is fully implemented and operational we will employ a lot of people directly and indirectly which will go a long way of ensuring we reduce poverty and a zero tolerance of poverty.

There is a saying that a hungry man is an angry man. Therefore when people don’t find jobs or are jobless, they become hungry so when people find decent jobs which pays them well enough to take care of their families there will not hunger in the first place. The issue of hunger will not even come into the discussion when people find jobs that will provide for their basic needs and responsibilities.

The health of every Nation is the health of its people and the economy . Just imagine as a result of the continuous gas explosion in the country, there would not be anyone left behind to contribute to the economic growth of the country. So when we educate people on the importance and use of Gas we will end up preventing its exploitation and save lives which will inures to our benefit as a healthy society.

Education as we know is very important in our lives. If not for education I would not be here in the first place. Therefore when people have decent jobs with a well paid incentives they will be able to afford and take care of their children in schools which will go a long way to affect the society at large. When we are given the opportunity we will make sure as part of our cooperate social responsibility we will extend our commitment and support to underrepresented communities who lacks educational opportunities and facilities to enhance equal access to education and equity for all.

Our vision in the long run aligned with this particular SDGs goal. Water as we say is life so therefore when given the opportunity we will make sure we provide portable water and a well sanitary environment for the communities that deserve it. Especially the underrepresented ones.

The above goal of the SDGs forms an integral part of what we seek to achieve or accomplish . The use of energy is becoming increasingly expensive on daily basis. People resort to find an alternative way to get affordable energy use which results in cutting down trees for charcoal instead of using liquified Gas which is more efficient and cheaper. We can achieve this goal by reducing excessive emissions into the atmosphere by stopping the burning of charcoal and make make the energy cleaner and cheaper for consumers to use.

The project is an innovative way of improving the lives and economic conditions of people. The uniqueness of this project is that it aimed at saving lives and properties and most importantly protecting the environment as well.

My project is an innovative idea which stands tall among a lot. What makes my project unique is that it’s aimed at saving lives, properties, the environment and also creating decent jobs for the benefit of society and the world as a whole. There may be competitors but I am yet to see one.

11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes over the past 8 years I have been actively working with Django Girls community to make the girls child more inclined to technology through the use of Django flame work and python programming language to develop web applications as a way of bridging the gap between Girls in Tech education and that of the Boys.
