MicSyl assists Technical and Vocational jobbers such as seamstresses, plumbers, caterers, barbers, painters among other SME's to establish an online presence for their businesses/brands to enable them reach more and or potential customers

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

MicSyl is a primarily a Marketing and Advertising company whose core mandate is to assist Technical and Vocational jobbers such as seamstresses, tailors, plumbers, hairdressers, caterers, tilers, cobblers, barbers, painters, welders and Buy and Sell Mini-Boutiques, Fast Food Vendors, Vegetable and Fruit Stands among other SME's to establish an online presence for their businesses/brands with the aim of enabling them reach more and or potential customers via search.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

On the online market, as customers search for suggestions, insights and recommendations of products, goods or services, they are on the look out for prices, reviews/referrals, preferential customer service, genuineness and offers. Sadly, many of those goods, products and service providers do not have their goods, products and services online. Meaning that many of these customers are at the mercy of the few businesses/brands existing to make purchases. Meanwhile, there may be thousands of such goods, products and service providers who are not online but can meet the demands of these customers or consumers with better pricing and purchasing prowess. MicSyl chose to be the BRIDGE WHICH CONNECTS many goods, products and service providers of our target group to more and or potential customers or consumers. This is the foundation on which "LYCKYE" - Let Your Customers Know You Exist, our marketing brand, was built.

Our Targeted Beneficiaries Include: 1. Technical and Vocational Jobbers/Skilled Workers such as, seamstresses, tailors, plumbers, hairdressers, caterers, tilers, cobblers, barbers, painters, welders etc 2. Buy and Sell Mini-Boutiques/Supermarkets 3. Fast Food Vendors 4. Vegetable and Fruit Stands among other Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. Our vision in this regard is tied our project known as, "Enterprising My Skills". The project aims at encouraging and then empowering our targeted beneficiaries to build up their skills into enterprises and recruit other youths or interested persons to work with them, contributing to our ultimate vision of completely eradicating unemployment on the face of the earth.

The vision of MicSyl is to completely eradicate unemployment on the face of the earth through our mission of assisting our targeted beneficiaries to establish an online presence for their businesses and to enable them reach more and or potential customers (through the "Let Your Customers Know You Exist - LYCKYE" Campaign as well as encouraging and empowering them to develop their skills into enterprises (through the "Enterprising My Skills Project". At MicSyl, is it our strongest conviction that, nothing will be able to hinder us from attaining the height of "Global Eradication of Unemployment". And once people have jobs, poverty will have no place to stay in the world. This is how MicSyl looks forward to contributing to the NO POVERTY GOAL.

Farmers will have ready market for their farm produce and consumers will be more confident in busying and selling local agricultural produce in their countries of origin.

The services that MicSyl provides cuts across all fields and disciplines in the sense that, our main goal is to assist our targeted beneficiaries among others, being the bridge that connects needs and wants to several supply chains out of which health and nutritional content creators or service providers fall. We believe strongly that, learning and training yourself in the field where you have a skill or talent has very satisfactory and fulfilling implications on a person's life. Therefore, inclusive and equitable quality education and training of person's skills which is first of all their passion and something they will never grow tired doing, is our priority.

At MicSyl, we do not discriminate between men and women or boys and girls. As a matter of fact, we understand that, as men and women or boys and girls, we depend on each other for survival. Once an individual identifies their skills or talents, our job is to assist them to put their skills into an enterprise with the goal of serving larger communities with what they have within them.

As a matter of fact, if we receive support from TotalEnergies through this Startupper Challenge, we will strongly advocate for clean environments as one of the criteria for taking on contracts with our targeted beneficiaries. This is actually rooted in our slogan which says, "Life is about others...", implying, if the goods, products and services that you offer for sale or provide is not first in clean environments and also is not environmentally friendly, you cannot work with MicSyl. We are deeply rooted in UN's Clean Water and Sanitation goal.

Through MicSyl's "Enterprising My Skills" project, many potentials, skills and abilities are going to be nurtured and developed. These shall include potentials, skills and ideas that are industry innovative. Throughout the world, industries that have survived across ages were mostly birthed from the skills, potentials and talents of individuals. The likes of Scott Forstall and Jonathan Ive who led the team that developed the first iPhone, Steve Jobs and Larry Tesler who also led a team to develop the first Macintosh computer among others, gave priority, learning and training to their potentials, skills, and abilities. That is what brought a global change in innovation with regards to mobile devices and computers. This is the similitude industry innovation that MicSyl looks forward to assist people of any background and culture to reach and even go beyond with their potentials, skills and abilities.

However, with support from the TotalEnergies Startupper Challenge, MicSyl will help project the relevance and the dignity that comes with developing and building up a person's skills into an enterprise which will eventually lead them to employ others and contribute greatly to the economic development of their countries. As far as MicSyl is concerned, when this is achieved, inequalities within and countries will be reduced to a very large extent.

We acknowledge that people are willing to do anything just because they want to make ends meet or survive. However, at MicSyl, we believe that, there should be an order along which systems and structures function. So that, all, irrespective of their status, who flout those orders are led to account for their volution to stand against the systems and structures which are pro life. That is accountability. MicSyl is burnt on collaborating with the UN to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification and all that is in the LIFE on LAND goal.

06.08 Justification for my startup

What we do at MicSyl is one of it's kind. It follows the current marketing and advertising guidelines but has an entirely different targeted beneficiaries which several exisiting marketing and advertising companies have not considered. We can boldly say that our services are brand new and haven't been tried any any existing organization. We pride in the fact and the truth of being the pioneers of the services that we provide since our targeted beneficiaries are unique and in well defined categories.

06.09 Competitive Analysis

Perhaps, our competitors may be existing Marketing and Advertising companies who have sometimes a defined or an undefined targeted beneficiaries. What makes MicSyl stand out is how specific and well defined our targeted beneficiaries are. Our primary focus is on Technical and Vocational jobbers. We are not limiting ourselves to technical and vocational jobbers only. However, they are our main focus in very given jurisdiction. Because, we believe that they form very large sizes of any given population but are barely recognized or seem not to exist. Having identified these targeted beneficiaries and the unique services available at MicSyl, that is what makes us unique.

Yes! At MicSyl, we encourage and empower all genders to our their skills into enterprises. Our Enterprising My Skills project is geared towards empowering both males and females to develop their skills into Enterprises which will employ others and help achieve our ultimate goal of eradicating unemployment on the face of the earth. This is more reason why even though currently the startup is owned by one person (a male), the services and support of a female has been employed as an interim Managing Director, even though we are both not on salaries, with the aim of empowering a female figure to be global example to all females out there.
